Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Forest

Good win on the road
Nowhere near a polished performance but a good mentality and cleared our lines well in the last 15 minutes
Bruno kept his head 👍🏼

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Forest

They know we are awful in covering the transition.
So vulnerable with the brittle and slow paced defence.
Rinse and repeat 😡

Their width and pace 🆚 our left hand side
Got a bit of the fear here, but got to trust EH for it’s his call. It’s on him of course if BDB gets owned by them tonight.
Wonder if Wilson has an hour in him.
That’s the negativity out my system.
We win this 2-1 somehow ……😉

Re: Weekend football - 3/5 February 2024

When is Arteta going to be sanctioned for his touchline antics.. It’s embarrassing the way he runs the line. Amazed he’s not been taken out in a tackle. It’s frankly utterly disrespectful , why does the fourth official not tell him to stay in the technical area. Thought the governing authorities wer...

Re: Howe under pressure?

Last paragraph is my point entirely Time line and ambition takes working, under FFP constraints and PSR there is no route to instant success. The club and the fan demographic is now in flux, people imo need to be pragmatic. As for an elite manager…….no clue Any managerial appointment is a massive ga...

Re: Howe under pressure?

Not looking for instant gratification, just would be nice to beat teams like Everton, Bournemouth, Forest, Luton etc. after we have had 400-500m spent on the team, would be nice to see £60m worth of talent not stuck on the bench behind a badly out of form player. Would be nice to have a team set up...

Re: Howe under pressure?

Harsh to say he's a one season wonder when he kept us up in his first season here. Can anyone say if we hadn't had the injuries we've had we wouldn't be above West Ham chasing top 4? The problems which no one can answer is who do you get in if you get rid of Howe? How do you afford to rebuild the s...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Villa

That is more like the level We were excellent in the first half with our positive pressing right through the team. After 3-0 we mostly looked fairly comfortable bar a couple of scares. Thought the lads looked a lot fitter throughout and tbf EH tactics were spot on. Made Villa look mostly very ordina...

The scenes at the Hawthorns today….. Anger and frustration of the mentally challenged lurks so close to the surface Doesn’t seem to take much to send elements of the mob to tipping point Living in the Black Country it came as no surprise to me, the gene pool is shallow in some parts. P.s. I’m not o...

Maidstone United Football Club <love>
Now let’s draw them @ SJP next round.
Let’s get 50k in the stadium, pump them but give them a great welcome and pay day
We more than most deserve a favourable draw for once

Good !
Found him getting increasingly irritating over the last couple of seasons with his outbursts and tedious rambling about the unfairness of everything

Eventful end to the Sheff Utd game - two red cards and a penalty equaliser all in added time. Tale of two aherm, penalties One wrongly awarded after joke mid air hysterics from Mcburnie than a stonewall penalty not given after Bowen hauled down, I think the referee wanted out asap as he never allow...

Brazilian sources (and maybe now domestic ones?) suggesting Joelinton's quad tendon injury is worse than initially expected, requiring surgery and likely ruling him out for the rest of the season.
