Re: Matchday thread - Toon v AC Milan

Must say I completely disagree with this. I fully get your point and it's more than valid. We should look at an upgrade in that position in the summer, absolutely. Arguably we should've/did last two summers. He's a lovely little chipmunk that never stops running, but he's obviously limited ability ...

We don't have a say in what happens in Germany. If we win/draw and stay in Europe I'll still be very happy.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v AC Milan

Sorry to say but we need to replace Almiron. He'll be one of the first to go next Summer imo. Must say I completely disagree with this. I fully get your point and it's more than valid. Re: Matchday thread - Toon v AC Milann

Welcome back gola! Glad to hear that things are on the up. For tonight I'm going for a win as I'll be sober again just like the Milan draw and PSG hammering. I had a tipple or two for the Dortmund games as well as PSG away so I accept full responsibility for the outcomes of those games. Fancy havin...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Spurs

Why on earth is it the same team again. Obviously we are restricted with injuries, but it's a damning opinion to every fit player that can't get a start at this point. The starting players are f***ed, god knows what we are going to do against Milan

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Spurs

3-2 win. Trippier to be rested but off the bench with a 92nd minute freekick to win it.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Man U

Only watched bits on my phone as away at a family thing but we looked to be in total control, absolutely controlled the game. One of the few blessings of our injury crisis is livramento getting accelerated into the first team, what a player! Out of position too. Same goes for Miley, to be playing 9...

Also I think Schar is my favourite CB since Albert.
Funny you say that, I agree. I was thinking of making a pre match prediction of 5-0 with Schar replicating the Alberrrrrrrr moment. I bottled it. But he's definitely got the same kind of swagger.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v PSG

Never a penalty, but to be fair a draw was probably the right result. Our depleted side played very well, but they were better for the most part. We went toe to toe, and if we had the substitutes on the bench to replace knackered legs, we are winning that.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v PSG

Stone cold sober evening for myself as have to log back into work at 11pm to kick off a software release. I do have a massive box of chocolates next to me I'm stress eating I've never tried stress eating OT. I'm assuming it's the same as drinking to alleviate the stress. The only difference being y...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist

I disagree with the McTominay comparison to JWP, although I do understand it. JWP would've been a fantastic signing for us, and I feel would've added a lot. Especially for the price WHU ultimately paid. I don't think McTominay would represent the same value, personally. For one thing, that club woul...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Bournemouth

This made me laugh on the BBC Sport app:- "Man United are in crisis, but Newcastle, the team everyone thought could be future title challengers are also bottom of their Champions League group and sit one point behind United as it stands, but not in crisis?" Tom in Peterborough Haha we’re not compar...

I'm taking the kids to the zoo today and probably looking forward to it more than them haha. If I've got my timings right, should get back just in time for us to win, comfortable 2-0.

Never mattered when Watford did it haha
Or Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea…
I meant specifically clubs owned by the same entity trading players william nilliam. Like Watford with Udinese and Granada.

Re: Weekend football 4/6 November 2023

Aye, Postecoglu basically said he wasn't happy with what happened, but the referee's decision is final, and have to respect that. Do wonder if he'd have been so statesmanlike if this game came before the Arsenal meltdown, like to think he would. But he comes out of all of it absolutely glowing. I qu...
