Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Citeh

By cod that's a dour return from the last 20 years.

Makes sense now though that I remember exactly where I was for the League Cup match in 2014/15 when Aaron's scored. Still a cracker of a goal.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Chelsea

I've seen us play worse and get something from the game this season and it did at one point seem like it was two teams trying to demonstrate how not to retain any possession. Burn was heavily exposed in the first half which made any break out by Chelsea quite simple to execute. It was only swapping ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Chelsea

Hoping injury to Gordon isn't too bad. Murphy has done well since coming on though.

Need better passing in final third though and either get a cross in or keep hold of it and find the right pass.

2-0 Toon with a wonder strike from Cisse! <awe>
I missed that game because my train broke down and my phone died. I went to bed sulking when I got home and had no idea till the next morning
I was there for that one. The away end went a bit mental and the Chelsea fans nearby looked stunned.

Re: Dan Ashworth confirmed as gardening director

Note to Dan. I mowed the lawn and rolled it again today. Weather permitting I might crack on with weeding the borders.

Thinking of scarifying and overseeding towards the end of the month as a heads up.

Prep for Mother's Day kicked off. Making a traditional Portuguese dish of pork and clams so need to mascerate the red peppers with salt for 12 hours before roasting, peeling and blitzing as the marinade for the pork for 24 hours. Winnable competition, valuable coefficient points up for grabs, less strenuous than the CL and a good cup run can do wonders for confidence.
Agree with above and I can't wait to play the third best team in Azerbaijan.

Offered to buy MiniOT a kit and she thought she was being punished.

MrsOT has ruined her

Mind, she does like F1 (massive crush on Lando) which gives me something sporting to do with her so all good!

Should we win the FA Cup this May, It will mean we've played all ties away, Only one team has done this before, And saved Fergie from the exit door, It will happen again, one day, Hopefully this year on the 25th of May. Your prose is always worthy of praise and makes this site worth all our endeavo...
