Re: VAR and the latest handball rules

Think they should at the least add a clause that it should only be a penalty if the arm blocks the ball from going at goal/to an attacking player. Seems ridiculous that a ball could be destined to hit a defender in the hip but because their arm is outstretched it hits that first and so would be a pe...

Re: Matchday Thread: Spurs v Newcastle

https://i.imgur.com/UDTb0Nd.png At this rate it'll only take us another 11.5 halves to deserve a goal according to our lord and saviour xG <awe> Think we had the exact same XG first half last week. I know it’s not the ultimate stat but XG of under 0.1 for two first halves in a row is atrocious.

I can see it now, unchanged team again.

That sounds far too real

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

Interesting to see how badly ASM copes when faced with someone who can match/beat him for pace. Last thing we want to see is him not pulling his weight. The formation probably isn't doing him any favours either mind Sounds like we need to switch to a 4231 and get someone on Lamprey (Carroll off for...

Re: Brighton (H) - match thread

Admittedly the whole game has changed and Brighton are likely more than happy sitting off now, but we’ve not been as terrible as I was expecting since I tuned in.

Re: Coronavirus

What’s people’s preferred term for it? Coronavirus? Simply corona? Covid? “Everything going on”? My Aussie mate always calls it Miss Rona which makes me laugh inside. I like “corona” personally.

Good start by Sheffield Utd, 2-0 down before 6 mins <laugh>
Checked at about 7 minutes and was looking forward to a 30-0 win. Alas..

Re: Weekend Football (12-14 Sept)

Neymar apparently racially abused by the player he bopped. Twitter informs me that Neymar was definitely racially abused by him. But some people claiming it was in Portuguese, some say it was Spanish and some say French, so I think I'll wait a little before judging just yet.

Re: Match day thread - West Ham United v Newcastle United

I wonder what my top 6 cash out is now? I hope this squashes some of the ridiculously negative stuff from pundits (and a few of our own fans). I know it's early days but I've seen so many predictions putting us in the bottom 5. Really doubt we'll be down there much, if at all, this season. Good res...
