Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

Good result, still leaving a lot to be desired like so need to keep kicking on, still short of what we are capable of. Willock is a massive difference, I know I'm beating a dead horse here but really need to get away from Longstaff and Burn being the first names on the team sheet, I really don't see...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

Willock is so underrated, makes our counter attacks much more threatening. Murphy is at his best when he just focuses on the basics, his biggest problem for me is when he thinks he can be the one to ping shots into the top bins and he becomes very selfish and detrimental to attacks, just whip balls ...

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

Murphy is a right fanny when it comes to a 50/50. Lucky to come away with the ball there.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

A lot of players not on the same page lately, Bruno not anticipating the ball from Gordon, expecting him to take the shot on.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

People mention Almirons drop off this season but **** me Longstaff is up there too. Always looking the the safest easiest pass yet still f***s it up somehow.

Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Wolves

The yellow rule this season is a little silly, I don't know why the cut off isn't mid season like normal. The game really is going soft, you get yellows for farting too loud these days. If you want to mess around with the reset point then at least increase the threshold for yellow card offences.

Re: 23/24 NUFC Kits Thread

For those that spoke about the kit fit and recommending a size up - was it too tight fitting? Or (also) shorter in the body and sleeves? I'm of the tall and skinny type. Mine just arrived, I didn't go a size up and the fit is very slightly snug around my shoulders and biceps, the sleeves are slight...

Re: Other Clubs Transfers/Rumours/Wishlist

Probably harsh on Bruce to be fair. He did give him a fair crack, I think it's more a case of him just not being good enough for PL, I think if he gets back on track after his injury then MLS/Championship is probably a level he could make a decent go at.

Re: Other Clubs Transfers/Rumours/Wishlist

Makes his attempt at getting a big contract even more silly now. Think he potentially damaged a lot of relations within the club and probably made a bad name for himself. That whole saga did change my option of him.

Re: Football Titbits

I'm pretty sure anyone, man or woman, going into journalism isn't a push over and can speak up for themselves, they know the nature of the business and the type of characters you are going to have to deal with. She may have been offended and then again she might not have been. The problem these days...

Re: FA Cup football

If we struggled against Blackburn there was going to be doubt regardless of who we drew. The only thing left to play for would have been a trip to Wembley for a semi final for our away support.

Guess you can never say never but the feeling is the season is now a complete write off.
