Anyone familiar with Manchester or Birmingham?
Morning chaps,
I’m on work experience and as part of a brief I’ve been set I’m trying to I’m trying to write some targeted adverts relating to Manchester and Birmingham. I’m trying to get light-hearted stereotypes about particular areas of the cities. A bit like yummy mummies of Jesmond or hipsters in Tynemouth. I’m not after racial divides or anything that might be defined by high crime rates etc but would love to know if anyone has any local knowledge of these two cities and can help me out with where I might find high volumes of different characters – kids, old people, rich people, footballers, artists, hipsters, proper locals etc.
Anyone able to help? It’s not the type of thing that’s particularly easy to find online. Bloody work experience. I’m thirty years old.

I work in Birmingham, the area in and around the Custard Factory in Digbeth is known for having lots of creative types, both artistically and small creative tech companies etc. There's lots of small businesses down there, funky cafes, craft beer bars, retro clothes/record shops etc to cater for their tastes. I think they whole Custard Factory is known as the Creative Quarter, loads of hipsters

I can highly recommend Birmingham New Street station. It looks so much better now to the extent that you might think the rest of Birmingham is nice as well.
I still stayed on the train though.
