Was brought up listening to his music in the 90s!

Yep RIP! <rose>

Not a fan of his music really, but went to see him live when he performed in my hometown (major artists rarely do so I generally go and see anybody/group that does), and he was an amazing performer. He had a broken leg, in a full cast, so I thought he'd just go through the motions and mostly stand at the mic or even sing sitting down. Nope, he put in more effort than a standard mosh-pit. He must have been in agony and the sweat was pouring off him. Very nice guy as well apparently, so RIP big fella!

Yeah I'd seen him twice, probably around mid 2000s so obvs way past his energetic peak but he still gave his all and put on a show! Always came across as a really decent guy when I saw him on TV and so on too.

I've been trying to remember when it was I saw him, and then they just featured his performance, complete with broken leg, on the local news. It was 1983. 38 years ago, makes me feel old.

After managing to steer clear of Covid for 22 months, I finally tested positive on Sunday. Thankfully I feel absolutely fine but it is boring and inconvenient.

<gent> Nice to see some familiar folks are still keeping this forum alive, can’t believe it’s been over two years since I was last on here & even that was a fleeting visit after a long absence, life huh?

Got lurgy and slept from 7pm last night to 9am this morning...working from home today so been taking half hour naps between meetings as would have been a nightmare trying to rearrange everything.
