Thank God for social media, otherwise I’d have had no idea that it had been snowing outside for the last couple of days.

I doubt they’re in a great position to act on their empty threats and will have everything focused on being the playground bully essentially.

Burglary gangs. Not petty thieves who are desperate but professional criminals who don't care about other people.

Re: The Message of Hate Thread
Dogs not living for 40+ years.
Mine is a 9 and 4 month old three legged husky.
Been a trioawd for 7 years although we rescued him when he was 6. Not known him for even 3 years but he's my boy....my world!
He's suffered from pretty bad arthritis this year and developed sores on his front leg. So much so that recently one of them developed a hole. Which, even though we protected it, cleaned it, bandaged it, air it, got infected in hours.
Took him to the vets last night. He has a massive infection and a severe temperature. We were told to sit by the phone just in case we needed to rush round to say goodbye.
Thankfully he pulled through. He's home now but basically on palliative care.
Still, I feel very lucky to have this weekend (maybe, maybe less, maybe more) with him to give him as much love as possible and be able to say goodbye properly.
I love him so much.

Sorry to hear that mate, you do get massively attached and they are like family. I’ve only had my current dog for 7 months but I’d be gutted if anything happened to him. Had a collie for 14 years when I was a kid, I can count on one hand how often I remember crying as an adult and when he got put to sleep that was one of them. Sounds like you’ve lots of happy memories and it’s good he won’t feel anything when the time comes.originallad wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 2:02 pmDogs not living for 40+ years.

Cheers mate, appreciate it. Work is really stressful atm for both me and my wife, we might be moving house just before Christmas and oh yeah Christmas! So it couldn't have happened at a worse time. Tbh, this year has been one of the shittest years in a long, I honestly have to laugh otherwise I'll cry haha.bodacious benny wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 7:43 pmSorry to hear that mate, you do get massively attached and they are like family. But yeah. Dogs are just something else. Nobody will replace Drago but I'm looking forward to getting this year and the move out of the way, then I'll start looking at Dog's trust again.

I couldn't get a 'wrapped' because I only listen to podcasts and audio books.
Bit of a shame really, as I was hoping pod on the Tyne would be top!

Contractors!!! f***ing MORONS!!
f***ing sick of my work and their obsession with contracting out our transport department instead of hiring our own transport crews. Getting different crews everyday who seem to share only one f***ing brain cell between them, f***ing everything up and making the most illogical decisions.

Any particularly bad ones? Google likes to cause trouble
Once we're over the next payment threshold I might just turn them off, they don't support this place in the slightest any more. 5 years since the last time it paid out, and even then it was less than a half of a year's hosting fees...

How much are the hosting fees per year? Maybe a few of us could chip in a little towards the costs.Cal wrote: ↑Sat Dec 21, 2024 8:06 pmAny particularly bad ones? Google likes to cause trouble

Re: The Message of Hate Thread
I've got them down to around £75/yr now that things are quieter on here and the blog has been turned off. I can afford it, but if people do want to chip in I can send PayPal detailsDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2024 8:35 pmHow much are the hosting fees per year?
