Medical Question
Has anyone experienced a bloatedness, trapped wind type feeling that hasn't gone away after a couple of days?
After every bowel movement it feels better than the feeling comes back. And yesterday and today I've been for two bowel movements each day which is unheard of for me.
Also not been able to fart properly the past couple of days.
Been taking buscopan but don't think it's doing much.
The tightness is more on the right side and aches a bit if I push down on it.

Re: Medical Question
I've got Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) which people often confuse with IBS.
I do often get very bloated and uncomfortable after eating certain foods, with stomach pain etc. When I'm in a 'flare' i.e. when it's bad I urgently need to use the toilet 20+ times a day and often pass blood, something about the bodies immune system attacking itself and causing inflammation of the large intestine.
If it persists I'd have a chat with your GP (if you can get an appointment...!), obviously if it gets worse see someone more urgently.

Should have said, if you've not got urgency and blood it's highly unlikely you have IBD - just that some of they symptoms are similar.

I can't imagine going twenty times a day though. I thought two was excessive!

Well...it ended up being appendicitis!
Appendix ruptured slightly and had an appendectomy last night. Fun times!

Well Carlos Sainz won the Australian GP a fortnight after having his appendix removed, what can you do?

Re: Medical Question
oof hope the recovery is ok. Turns out asking a bunch of assorted nufc fans might not be a great substitute for medical professionals

Re: Medical Question
It might be worth checking in with a healthcare pro just to rule out anything serious. In the meantime, staying hydrated, eating fiber-rich foods, and gentle exercise like walking could help ease things up.
