Three incidents it would appear. Hopefully not too many hurt.

reported atm as a police led investigation, intelligence services not involved so IF terror related its probably a "lone wolf"

6 killed, at least 48 injured. 3 lunatics wearing fake bomb vests with long blades just going round stabbing innocent folk, shouting "This is for Allah".

All 3 were shot dead by police.

3 attackers shot dead within 8 minutes of the incident being reported, very rapid response from the police.

I wish these people could be non-lethally immobilised so they get a chance to attempt explain their actions and face the consequences of what they've done.

See what you're saying, but when they're on a killing rampage the police need to eliminate them and can't take any chances.

Oh God absolutely. It would be like something from 24 to think they have the time and composure to shoot non-lethally, it's just tragic that they are able to take the easy way out by entering these attacks knowing full well that it will be their last action in life and there will be no accountability.

I agree to an extent but in this case they were thought to be wearing suicide vests (which were later found to be fake) so the risk would have been too great to incapacitate them, they definitely didn't want to be taken alive and there isn't a lot you can do about that.

Definitely, they're cowards in every sense of the word taking an easy way out.

Yeah, nice to see a little bit of humour on another dark day.

A pint in London Bridge could have cost £6 or £7 - that's no laughing matter.

Pretty shitty. Has to be asked though would more officers have made a difference? They responded very robustly but there are people on twitter going on as if Theresa May may as well have been driving the van <erk>

Judging by what Peter Kirkham is implying in that clip, yes.

Cuts to policing are having a major impact. They're needed in intelligence gathering from communities, as well as monitoring 23,000 very low-level people who are "known" to police and security services.

Good point. I'm sure billions was promised after the 1st London attack or Paris (??) for MI5 etc. <scratch> Obviously not enough or too little. Or there is just a hell of a lot more going on.

A lot of your police chiefs and former ones say the biggest effect is community policing, and that the forces now have a reactionary role rather than a proactive one, people like this could have been routed out with police in community's speaking with people but due to cuts they are unable to put resources into that and instead fight the fires whilst they are fully ablaze so to speak.
