Show up in shorts and flip flops because nothing hides fear to an interviewer like that attire.

Unless you actually s*** yourself. Mick can give the best advice on dealing with that.

Skype interviews are easier than actual face to face.

How many people in the call? I usually find the more the better on these.

They haven't said but I think it may just be the one.
I've got literally no information, even the job description was pretty vague, but it's good money for a good group and it's in Miami.

Good luck. I'm waiting on news from an interview I had over a week ago. Wonder when I should give up. Proper dick move to not send a thanks but go f yourself email.

I had a last minute interview where I had travel up overnight by train and stay in a hotel. Total cost was about £225.

After a week I'd still heard nothing and neither had the recruitment agency. I was told that the company wasn't even answering or returning calls so I told the agency I wasn't interested and found another role instead.

Six months later I get a call direct from the company asking me to attend a second interview so I told them I'd think about it and never responded.

I got a job offer a few years back from webuyanycar. The paperwork was slow to come. Turns out the top level bosses got the paperwork and said "oh no we haven't approved more spend on the data science team". I'd stopped looking for jobs for a few weeks. Infuriated.

A month or so later I'd accepted my current job verbally. Recruiter from webuyanycar came back. "Oh the CFO has relooked at your file and realsied they really should have hired you. there 's a better role on offer now"
"sorry said I'd take this other job"
They came back to me again, offering to beat the offer saying I should reneg on the accepted job. Took great pleasure in saying;
"I made a verbal promise and unlike you I keep my promises."

Changed my working hours to do 9.45am - 5.45pm. Quite like it so far, means I go to the gym before work rather than after (more energy and motivation) and also the trains that I get to/from work aren't as rammed.

I'm debating 7-4 rather than 8-5. Means I skip the traffic at both ends and get to see my colleagues get pissed off because they think I'm skipping out.

I've been getting into the office at 8 rather 9 for the last month due to the changes in train times.

Work still insists that my finish time is half 5.

I'd love it if I didn't have to go to work. I can't stand it when people say they'd still go to work even if they had a massive lottery win. "But I'd be bored." f*** right off.

If I won a few million on the lottery I'd instantly jack work in. Even on £1.5-£2m I could live completely normally and not have to work.

I'd open up my own craft beer and whisky shop to occupy me <awe>

I'm the same. I'd just need enough money to travel and my lifestyle wouldn't change all that much. I'd still be basically the same fat, lazy walrus that I am, I just wouldn't have to waste 45hrs a week going to work. I don't have expensive tastes so I wouldn't be blowing £20k on a watch or anything <laugh>.
