The Betting Thread
I quite like putting down a little money here and there every now and then for a bit of fun and figured that a few others here might as well - and seeing as there wasn't a big punting thread around, figured it'd be good to have one to pass on tips and discuss anything betting related.
I'm currently considering the Derby and Plymouth matches as well as one in the Brazilian second division for tonight's punt - especially considering Plymouth are against a Portsmouth side without a single senior player.
Anyone else engage in the occasional punt?

Can't see there being much value with Plymouth mind .

Re: The Betting Thread
I'm tempted to chuck some money on Leicester, Burnley, Cardiff and Palace all to win tonight, hate betting on the League Cup though.

Got them for 1.8 and thought they'd be nifty for accumulators - with the whole mess happening there it'd be surprising if Plymouth didn't snatch up the chance to go far in a cup competition.biggeordiedave wrote:Can't see there being much value with Plymouth mind .
I've also put money down on them all - apart from Burnley. And it can be a bit unpredictable, especially till the big hitters get involved!ALF wrote:I'm tempted to chuck some money on Leicester, Burnley, Cardiff and Palace all to win tonight, hate betting on the League Cup though.
Had a bit of luck betting on the Ligue 1 opening matches - three fold with the Bordeaux, Lille and Toulouse games did really well. And then lost half of it on the Swedish league.

Re: The Betting Thread
Yeah I've popped a 9-fold accumulator on the matches tonight, 6 championship teams to win in the Capital One cup, Partick Thistle to win v Queens Park (no idea about that one but a mate said to pop it on lol) and then a couple of U21 matches (Belgium v Scotland and Germany v Argentina)...
Just also put my seasonal one on for who will win all the major leagues in Europe as well as the Champions League and Europa League.... £10 on to receive over £180k in return lol

To be fair I waste more than my fair share of money on pointless bets .TommyToonAA wrote:Ahhh I think a tenner's worth it for a fun sweat towards the end of the season!

Has anyone tried fixtheodds.com before? My mate said it's an easy way to make money but I'm not sure about it.

Re: The Betting Thread
Have heard of it, but never used it... plus I already have accounts on the majority of the online sites so wouldn't be able to take the "new punters'" offers lol.

Sounds like they tell you how to use free bets to guarantee a return. The problem being that there are only so many free bets you can use as you can only sign up to a company once.

Oh Derby, you complete and utter bastards. Fortunately all of my heavy Plymouth backing saved the day - but Derby messed up some of my 4 folds.
Ah well - Brazilian Second Division to bet on now.
