The Betting Thread
Re: The Betting Thread
Yeah that would be the sensible thing to do.
Re: The Betting Thread
There is a big difference between £170 profit and £470 profit .
Re: The Betting Thread
Mifune is betting hundreds of pounds on an Alan Pardew side to lose. Remember the day.

This. It's absolutely mental.Duke wrote:Yeah definitely. I mean not cashing out is essentially the same as sticking near £300 on us to win, which nobody in their right mind would do.
Plus if we don't win everyone will blame you Mifune. Cash out.
Re: The Betting Thread
I feel that this is not going to end well for me .
Re: The Betting Thread
Someone at work had £20 on (I think) Giroud, Kane, Ronaldo and Mandzukic to all score a header @ 200/1 .
I put a fiver on Spain to top the group with Croatia second, Germany to top the group with Poland second, Iceland to qualify and Slovakia to not qualify, returns about £125 .

Putting £50 on England vs Wales to be over 0.5. Then with free £50 in play bet (Bet365) putting it on Wales to win, or maybe just Wales 1+ handicap.

Over 0.5 seems safe. I think it'll be 1-1 which would also mean your Wales +1 handicap would come in.Take A Chance On Mifune wrote:Putting £50 on England vs Wales to be over 0.5. Then with free £50 in play bet (Bet365) putting it on Wales to win, or maybe just Wales 1+ handicap.
I'm £60 up so far (a few small correct score bets have come in). Think I'll quit while I'm ahead

I've put money on Bale to score at any time and the game to be a draw.

Don't think I'll bet on this one as I won't enjoy the game as much.Chappy wrote:I've put money on Bale to score at any time and the game to be a draw.

Think if you make it so you can't lose then they can ban you .Bodacious Benny wrote:Over 0.5 seems safe. Anyway I've put £30 (my total profit so far) on England +1 to get more cards than Wales. Then I'll either put the £30 free in play bet on Wales to win or England to win and Smalling to get the first goal.

It was only to stop me feeling utterly devastated if England were to lose Dave.biggeordiedave wrote:I hope your next s*** is a pineapple.overseasTOON wrote:I had a £1 on Iceland last night at 9/1.
It wasn't a Scottish person's bet.
I've been behind England through and through this tournament Dave and I too feel your heartache, I also suffer from the 50+ years of hurt. I myself sang 'Three lions on a shirt' even when I know that factually they aren’t actually lions at all but most of all I’m still dreaming. Just like you Dave, I am still dreaming.
The money just soothes my aching heart.
And pays towards replacing my tattered old Saltire to fly anew when Scotland kick ass in the World Cup qualifiers

Re: The Betting Thread
How would I get odds on us finishing in the premier league top 4 the season after this....? As crazily optimistic as it might be I'd like to know. Feel like I'm on the crest of the NUFC wave at the minute wth the changes being made. No doubt it will be the usual boom/bust cycle though.
