Re: Phones & Tablets
Right so I dropped my almost brand f***ing new G3 on Saturday night and smashed the glass and apparently the digitizer too, so I had to go and order a whole new screen for it.
Does anyone have any experience fitting screens on smartphones? Anything I should or shouldn't do? What are my chances of not f***ing it up completely?

You shouldn't do it all because you're completely feckless .Duke wrote:Right so I dropped my almost brand f***ing new G3 on Saturday night and smashed the glass and apparently the digitizer too, so I had to go and order a whole new screen for it.

I agree. You always seem to be completely hammered so get someone else to do it.

Cut my contract from £43 a month to £10 a month. Can't believe I paid that much for 2 years.

Just had the android 5.1 update pop up on my nexus 7, I clicked to update and now it just displays a waiting for download message and doesn't seem to be doing anything,
Everything is useable still just odd that the download seems to be in some kind of limbo, anyone know what it could be? I've tried a reboot but it didn't change anything.

My iPhone updates do this quite a lot and I usually have to delete apps / photos ect.

Its sorted now, it seemed to just be downloading very slowly in the background.
Would have been nice to have had some form of progress bar

Last android update for my phone took about 2 hours to download and install.Don Sholeone wrote:Its sorted now, it seemed to just be downloading very slowly in the background.

Now whenever it buggers itself up, like taking another call when already on a call it stops the call connection and asks if I want to listen to the radio and both calls remain on hold.
Permanently.
Have to restart the phone whenever this happens.

I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
