Re: The Message of Awe Thread
Hosted a work quiz night, deliberately revealed a wrong answer for one of the questions. The absolute rage in the room. Still buzzing over it. f***ing love it.

Re: The Message of Awe Thread
Might have just said hello to Kenny Dalgliesh in my local pub... if he's about 5 foot 3 in Cuban heels.
Did I meet the legend?
Only ask as I got lied to by George Best when I bought him a pint in Crawley at the same time he was presenting an award live on TV in central London

Re: The Message of Awe Thread
Eventually did meet the actual George Best in a pub in Nottingham and I made sure to see his ID before I bought him a lime and soda and got his autograph. Told him the story and that as far as I was concerned, he'd lied to me already so had to be sure.

Codeine. I slipped on my decking on Sunday night. Knocked myself out unconscious and had to go A&E. Thankfully they didn't think it was severe enough to have further scans but they prescribed me with 30mg Codeine for the pain as my head was absolutely throbbing. It does the trick as it doesn't really hurt when im on it and im spaced out too!

Giving you the good stuff! Glad you’re on the mend.
I used to have decking in my old house and it was bloody lethal. Ripped it up and got a new black slate patio put down, looked bloody great. Suspect my ex wife is still enjoying it as she bought me out of the house - b****

Lazy former home owners.
I've lived in my flat for about 2.5 years and since I moved in got the Tesco clubcard letters/vouchers for the previous occupier. Each time I've forwarded them on the the previous owner and asked them to change their address.
Got the latest batch today and I'm keeping them. They've had 2.5 years to update their address so they can f*** off now Thanks very much, £12 for me to spend in Tesco.

Stopped eating dairy as neither of my kids can have it, and therefore my wife can't have it as she is breastfeeding the 5 month old. Solidarity thing because I'm such a great husband Meant Christmas with no (real) cheese or chocolate
Kindly deeds done for free!

I couldn't do that, cheese and chocolate is like 99% of my Christmas haha. Luckily I'm only banned off instant noodles, only have 1 a week if that when at work and want a quick lunch, still cop s*** for it if I get dobbed in, like .biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Wed Jan 18, 2023 4:42 pmStopped eating dairy as neither of my kids can have it, and therefore my wife can't have it as she is breastfeeding the 5 month old. Andy Murray!
Two sets down and comes back to win. Match finished about 4am local time.
He's got a metal hip.

Seen it 3 times start to finish and due another run! So good!
My sister doesn’t like it and I’ve never understood why!

Re: The Message of Awe Thread
Had an appointment with a few specialists today to see why my blood oxygen and iron levels are low. The GP I talked to the other week arranged something with a matter of urgency which was lovely.
COVID has been noted as affecting certain organs which can lead to how much iron I absorb naturally so have to keep taking supplements. Oxygen levels are up though and I do feel better mentally and physically.
Last specialist I saw this afternoon was for a hole I've had on my leg for about 2 years which seemed to partially heal but then would just open up again. Biopsy came back all clear and had the final catch up today. Sweaty balls and tight pants seemed to be the culprit so I'm going to live the rest of my life going commando and wearing a kilt.
You've been warned
