Went to Estepona in April from where we visited Marbella and the old town was very nice to wander through with plenty of bars and places to eat. Estepona is worth a visit, again a nice old town and plenty of colourful streets to wander around. If you haven't been before Malaga - easy to get to from Marbella - is another place to go and really comes to life in the evening.

Nice!

I went in 2019 and we went to see a rocket launch, cancelled with 15 seconds to go due to a technical fault <laugh>

The bit where you're watching the movie thing about the space shuttle, and then the screen pulls away and there's an actual space shuttle hanging there is frickin' awesome.

Good stuff.
Plenty to do in the area local and more wider.
Going to line up a few away days via bus and train to east and west.
Gone are the days of two weeks hungover on a lounger , I cannot handle that so much anymore.
I’ll limit myself five days for that just because I need to unwind after this season <cheers>

Saving up now for the big one next summer when miniOT finishes her A level exams. Off to Japan for about 10 days and then seeing where we can do a stop over for about 4 days on the route back to Blighty.

MiniOT wants Vancouver, mrsOT wants somewhere in Vietnam and I want Singapore so I can go get drunk with my mate who lives there... oh, and the accomodation would be free.

out of those 3 i'd say Vietnam beautiful country and cheap in comparison to Vancouver.
As for Singapore you know it's going to get messy and the missus will get the hump with you and you'll be in the doghouse for ages <laugh>

Also Vietnam would apart from being a great stop over would get you some serious brownie points from the wife.

It's been agreed now that we do the stop over in Singapore as we have free accomodation but extended the stay in Japan by two days so we can fit in one additional city.

I'm off to rural France this Thursday for 5 days and can't wait. Got a Eurostar booked out of London and will head out to a small town in-between Laval and Vitre where I can just chill out. Staying with friend and his family so can chill out, swim in the pool, cook and drink and just relax.

Woohoo!

Off to annoy the French. Asked miniOT if she wants me to bring anything back. She showed me a picture of some sweets from Germany.

She's a f***ing idiot.

I’m in Vilnius for the week with work. Most time is taken up with utter bollocks meetings and work dinners but hopefully get one afternoon/night where I don’t have to be social.

Has anyone been? Any recommendations?

Japan and Singapore now booked for next year.

10 days in Japan to take in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Fuji (theme park!!)

Then 3 days in Singapore and 2 days in Malaysia - quick ferry to one of the nearby islands for a beach break.
