Bit of an odd vibe as everyone staying inside in the cold. Brighton feels like if you got Blackpool, dressed everyone as a hippie and spend lots of money restoring buildings to their former glory
I used to live there and I'm in no hurry to ever go back.

I really enjoy Brighton, although it probably depends on why you're going. Good for a sesh and the people are nice enough I found, please the sea front is lovely.

Weird. I was just watching the episode of Luther where they end up at the Renaissance hotel last night.

Finally had the confirmation of wedding dates in Singapore and it's mid December so I've booked the flights and now we'll be spending the Christmas period in SE Asia.

Couldn't see the point of flying all that way to leave a few days before Xmas so arranged to use Singapore as a hub and traverse a few countries and make that the main family present.

Going to Grenada in May. Not brilliantly off so it’s the only holiday we’ve had in a while and it’s only a four day one. Still, really looking forward to it. We have a hire car and it’s just bed a breakfast as we like to explore and we’re very food-centric. I gather Grenada is one of the last bastions of proper tapas with every drink so really hoping that’s true.

Any recommendations of things to do and places to go very welcome.

Only thing I know about Grenada is that the Americans invaded it back in the early 80s for spurious reasons.

Hope you have a great time!

I’ve realised I’ve misspelt Granada there. So I’m not going to Grenada in the Caribbean, I’m going to Granada in Spain. Hopefully you got that from the reference to tapas.

Granada is great.

A heck of a lot to do and see and taste. You've got to see the Alhambra and we'll as get lost in the Arab quarter and as you've got a car, head up into the national park.

Highly recommend tasting the Sacromonte tortilla when there. The food is rustic, authentic to local ingredients and very filling.

You'll have a great time.

Just booked 5 days in Alicante in April for a bit of sun and tapas. Going to Corfu in June, then Ibiza in September for a wild one. My wife is taking me somewhere in October for my 40th - Im secretly hoping its up her arse
