I'm still having to work but it was like a ghost town today. It's such an eerie feeling being outside at the minute. The whole situation is incredibly depressing.

As far as I can tell almost everyone is ignoring the stay at home advise in Texas.

I'm waiting with a kind of morbid fascination to see if we will break 500,ooo dead.

The 'advice' from Trump and the deficiencies of the US healthcare system mean I really scared for the US

Hope everything is okay, and if it is CV, hope it's a mild one (even though mild is still pretty s***!)

Finished my 7 days self-isolation with what I hope was me getting off lightly in my bout with this; dry persistent cough, raised temperature, some level of fatigue. I'm set up to work from home, but partner is a nurse with another week at home before she gets to join in all the fun on the frontline <diverk>

My hands get quite dry in winter and were bad anyway, but they are completely f***ed now. Huge cuts opening on my knuckles and the sides of my fingers <grims>

I've had the same but I just apply a small amount of moisturiser over my knuckles after washing my hands and it makes a difference. Still dry-ish but nowhere near as bad as it had been.

disease expert Didier Raoult might be on to a unassailable Nobel Prize if his claims are true and work out:

He's no charlatan, got an amazing track record:

Italy seems to be onto the downward curve of new infections, although the rate is still high, its peaked and now seems to have slowed over the last couple of days, could be a big week for them 🤞
