I feel like having the commentators left on air to speculate while the camera flies around the stadium isn't the best call.

Whoever is in charge of production at the bbc should be fired for that, anyone with an ounce of decency or humanity would have gone back to the studio as soon as cpr started.

Not sharing the pic but it looks like he's still alive and conscious, there is a pic circulating of him eyes open and ECGs attached as he was stretchered off. So hopefully he's going to be ok

I couldn't agree more, I actually feared the worst when they started doing CPR on him it's when I turned off.
I didn't realise the BBC kept the footage going and reading what some have said I'm glad I switched off.

Hopefully the reports that he's awake, stable, and talking have helped settle them a bit - and if they're in competition mode they don't want to disadvantage themselves any further by losing a rest day in the group stage.
Re: EURO 2020, 2021 Edition
Lineker has read out the BBC's apology about their coverage, which almost entirely tries to deflect it onto UEFA - said they went back to the studio as soon as they could once the match was suspended.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 5:11 pmWhoever is in charge of production at the bbc should be fired for that, anyone with an ounce of decency or humanity would have gone back to the studio as soon as cpr started.

Not that it's important, but wonder if Denmark get charged with a substitution.
Good to hear and more power to them i just didn't think it was possible it would go ahead.

Yeah definitely deflection. I don’t disagree that it’s the broadcasters footage but there’s no way that the BBC don’t have the ability to cut away and back to the studio.Cal wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 6:30 pmLineker has read out the BBC's apology about their coverage, which almost entirely tries to deflect it onto UEFA - said they went back to the studio as soon as they could once the match was suspended.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 5:11 pmWhoever is in charge of production at the bbc should be fired for that, anyone with an ounce of decency or humanity would have gone back to the studio as soon as cpr started.

Re: EURO 2020, 2021 Edition
Easy to blame the beeb but a bit of shock, panic, etc if it's like F1 then isn't it done as a central filming thing and the central company decides what pictures are shown? May explain why it took some time to cut away.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 6:39 pmYeah definitely deflection. Lessons to be learned but I don't think it's fair to assign blame really.
