Lavelle-ly number 7!
Re: Morecambe v Newcastle United - Cacapo cup
He's trying to leave it thinking it's going in, silly decision. Score the goal.
Re: Morecambe v Newcastle United - Cacapo cup
He just doesn't seem to have that strikers instinct and selfishness. There were a few instances today where the shot was on for him but he opted for the pass instead (often when the pass was the worse option imo). Bearing in mind he was on a hat trick, the game is beyond safe and we're scoring for fun already, if there's any time you're allowed to be selfish it was then. And he still didn't just go for it

Re: Morecambe v Newcastle United - Cacapo cup
I'm not sure if he was trying to be clever. You're right though, ridiculous decision. As a striker he should just be making sure that goes in, even if it means knocking Murphy's shot over the line. Would you see Harry Kane doing that?

Lets not kid ourselves into thinking he wouldn't have been criticised for "stealing a goal" if he had knocked it in.

Harry Kane would have claimed all 6 were his.biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 11:03 pmI'm not sure if he was trying to be clever. You're right though, ridiculous decision. Probably. I think most people would just be happy he scored another goal.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 11:07 pmLets not kid ourselves into thinking he wouldn't have been criticised for "stealing a goal" if he had knocked it in.

Full highlights are available now. Joelinton's second was tasty.

It was a great finish, as was Hayden's. Their goalkeeper was absolutely shocking though .

Yeah I hadn't fully watched it when I posted haha, Hayden's was a cracker. Agree with that about the keeper, although I understand it is only league 2 level. He just wasn't up for it on any of the goals.biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 9:41 amIt was a great finish, as was Hayden's. Their goalkeeper was absolutely shocking though .

He seemed to be standing outside his six yard box most of the time, even when players were shooting from the edge of the box.CIH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 24, 2020 9:48 amYeah I hadn't fully watched it when I posted haha, Hayden's was a cracker. Their keeper did look poor, but for some of the goals it's hard to tell how far away he was / how close to the post the shots went and if he could have got across or if they were right in the corner. Impossible to tell via a camera on the side of the pitch.
That said, one or two howlers

Why on earth Everton didn't go out and buy a new keeper in summer is beyond me. It's not like it's a phase he's going through, he's been doing it for ages. There's still time left in the transfer window tho...
