Good job our ambition is to protect the loss at this point

Not a shot on goal in over 2 hours of Premier League football. <erk>

Wow, Joelinton just made it past 3 people.

I mean he didn't actually achieve anything, but it looked good.

I dont think there is a single player in our squad that would make it into the spurs team. Or even their bench.

If this is still 1-0 at halftime Bruce will probably view that as his job done.

Was just thinking the same. We are so far behind them in terms of squad strength it is depressing.

They wanted Wilson as their bench striker, but we don't exactly get to see that player when he has no support at all

I am so embarrassed being a Toon fan watching how we play. Have some balls Bruce!

Just so slow and ponderous. When Miggy was on the edge of the box ready to break there was nothing. Forced to play it backwards.

I hope Hayden was pleading to be pushed forward into a midfield 3 there...

Embarrassing to watch this. There is no plan. Bruce has just picked 11 players and said 'go play ball, lads'

More like ‘ go out there lads and just keep them from scoring too many’

The shame was before their goal Jonjo had a chance to put Wilson in. I'd bring Fraser on but not too sure who id take off as the long ball to Joelinton is our only half chance of keeping a bit of possession in the middle third of the pitch

Fraser isn’t on the bench

I think I’d pull Shelvey off, put on Jamal Lewis. Push Hayden into the midfield (he’s a liability at CB), Lewis at LB, Ritchie pushed forward to LW.
Darlow
Manquillo Lascelles Fernandez Lewis
Hayden Hendrick
Joelinton Almiron Ritchie
Wilson
Then at least we’ve got proper defenders and DMs who are mobile. Takes a risk and would require Manquillo and Lewis to be disciplined full backs (ie not attacking too much) but would liberate Ritchie and the front players a bit.

Shelvey is just not doing enough in the middle of the pitch.
