Re: FANS TO BE ALLOWED BACK TO OUTDOOR SPORTING EVENTS
Tier 1 = 4,000 fans or 50% of stadium capacity (whichever is smaller)
Tier 2 = 2,000 fans or 50% of stadium capacity (whichever is smaller)
Tier 3 = No fans
Given that most PL clubs will be in Tier 3 areas it's probably only Brighton and maybe Southampton (?) who could have some fans.
It's more important for lower league teams though so hopefully some of them can get fans through the turnstiles, though with costs of policing, estates costs, overheads etc. it might not even be financially beneficial for some to have fans back.

Newcastle is in Tier 2 at the moment so some fans may be at the West Brom game - poor buggers!

Will this be the end of all matches being televised? Blessing in disguise for us, if so.

Does anyone think that with just 2,000-4,000 fans in it could be harder for players than if the stadium was full? If it's a full house you can probably drown out negative comments thrown your way, but with that few fans in, every insult will be heard and for players who struggle with confidence they might retreat into themselves. Same for Bruce, he'll hear every single word thrown at him if (when) things aren't going well on the pitch.

Given the choice I’d take 4,000 fans telling me I’m s*** over 50,000.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 12:37 pmDoes anyone think that with just 2,000-4,000 fans in it could be harder for players than if the stadium was full? I dunno why 4000 fans would want to go watch us play, unless it’s for some sort of punishmentBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue Nov 24, 2020 12:37 pmDoes anyone think that with just 2,000-4,000 fans in it could be harder for players than if the stadium was full? But to be serious for a second, Bruce has already heard it all as a player and coach for decades now, so it won’t be anything new to him.

I wonder if Sky will play crowd noise over the croud noise.

Obviously I've no idea who the club are going to handle this, but I've absolutely no desire to go back into the ground before Christmas.

I guess it'll be on a points based system like away games for ST holders?

Yikes - Chelsea trying to make all their revenue back with limited capacity. Just because you can find enough suckers to pay that, doesn't mean you should. Though I say that recognizing the cheapest tickets for multiple Toronto sports teams are more than that here.

£75 x 2,000 = £150,000. You'd think that in the terms of football finances the negative PR wouldn't be worth it.
That said, Kepa is on £150k a week so maybe it's just a move to cover his wages
