I'm honestly at a point where I don't want to watch us until he leaves. It's not enjoyable in the slightest.

So a largely second string lower league team just played our best available team off the park. Happy days. I don't want any excuses from Bruce, he needs to apologise because that performance was unacceptable.

The one silver lining of COVID is that I've got most of my money back for the last two seasons. Bruce will forever go down as the empty stadium manager.Crouching Shola Hidden Talent wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 7:24 pmI'm honestly at a point where I don't want to watch us until he leaves. GD is still good though!
I honestly don't give a s*** about this result. I'm not sure if that's good or bad.

I just laugh at our humiliations now and shrug off any ‘normal’ defeat too. Have done for ages. We go in cycles and even if it’s not this season it feels like the championship will be calling again before long if something doesn’t change. Tactics are awful, we have some good players but clearly there’s no plan and they don’t look motivated at all.biggeordiedave wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 7:56 pmGD is still good though!

Re: Match Thread - Brentford v Newcastle (LC QF)
Having watched Fulham a few times - and realising that they actually have a fair bit more than us- my arse is starting to twitch again looking at the foot of the table.
Burnley stating to motor , Brighton better than us, as are Palace ( by a mile
)
the only teams looking like relegation certs are West Brom and Sheff utd
After that I would say we are least good.
We've managed to accrue 18 pts which is good but ......Worrying times

Burnley were always going to be okay.
Don’t really agree about Brighton though, they can’t hit a barn door unless they’re playing us.

The slow slide into apathy begins
Re: Match Thread - Brentford v Newcastle (LC QF)
Newcastle manager Bruce, also to Sky Sports: "Unfortunately, we haven't done enough, so we have to accept what is coming our way and get ready for what is a huge challenge ahead of us in the Premier League.
"I can't hide my disappointment because we've had a great opportunity to get into a first semi-final in many years. I'm bitterly disappointed and very, very frustrated.
"I stand by what I said when I walked in the door - I picked the team I thought was going be good enough to win the match. Unfortunately, Brentford played very, very well on the night."

This. We won't be getting any points until we play Sheffield United on the 12th Jan.. even then knowing us it'll be typical Newcastle manner to lose / draw. Surely if we lose our next three games, get knocked out from the FA Cup and don't win at against Sheffield United.. Bruce will have to go!Slim999 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 22, 2020 8:07 pmHaving watched Fulham a few times - and realising that they actually have a fair bit more than us- my arse is starting to twitch again looking at the foot of the table.

Need a positive, fresh & cultured manager with a clear attacking philosophy who wants to entertain and play on the front foot. Our strongest XI has potential to be nearer the top half but instead we're losing to a Championship side who put there ''B'' team out. Awful.
Outplayed, outfought & out of his depth. #BruceOut
Re: Match Thread - Brentford v Newcastle (LC QF)
If the big man does do what seems unlikely and gets rid of cabbage head, who would people want to come in? We don't exactly have great draw power at the minute. I'd quite like to look at Eddie Howe, but not sure the feeling will be mutual haha.
