Yes, the Graeme Jones. Not quite sure what to make of this. The headline suggests Bruce is involved in the decision so I guess the club is doubling down on him.

I did wonder if it was paving the way for Eddie Howe but Jones joined them after his Bournemouth departure.

This reminds me very obliquely of when Rene Meulensteen got brought in as a coach at Fulham, and it was clear from all sides that he would eventually replace Martin Jol, which he did quite quickly from what I recall. I can see Jones being installed as a cheap backup option if they do end up getting rid of Bruce, he can take the reins at least until the end of the season.

If it has reached the point that the club feels the need to bring in a coach to help the manager out, without the consent of the manager, then it is already over and both sides know it. Don't understand the charade. Is the club hoping to shame Bruce into quitting? Why else would they not just get it over with?

It does seem to be a warning with a contingency plan in place. I think at the very least it shows that there are concerns from within, just predictably we are making it as complicated as possible.
