Relegation special #3 BHA v NUFC
This evening sees Newcastle visit the Amex Stadium for an 8pm kick-off live on Sky Sports.
Steve Bruce's side head to Sussex winless in their last five games and with just two victories to their name in 17 PL outings (19 in all competitions).
There was some good news on Friday night though: a 2-1 win for Leeds United at Craven Cottage over Fulham kept the Magpies out the relegation zone.
To be taking comfort from the exploits of a newly promoted side on the anniversary of our last Champions League game is a pretty shitty state of affairs isn't it?

This.. has a 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it. Could even lose this. Brighton are a better footballing side so possession will be in there favor.. if Miggy, Murphy & Fraser all start we'll have pace on the counter. I don't weather Carroll starting is a good idea.. maybe Joelinton or Gayle would be best.

What a f***ing joke that shelvey starts again. Gayle is dropped because Bruce wont play a striker as a striker. And matty not in the squad, what a waste of his career. Should have went to udinese

Unless he gets reinjured from being rushed back
Re: Relegation special #3 BHA v NUFC
This.. would have preferred M.Longstaff over Shelvey but apart from that a decent line-up & thank god Miggy's back!Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 7:18 pmWhat a f***ing joke that shelvey starts again. Harsh on Murphy though..
Dubra
Manquillo Lascelles Clark Dummet
Hayden Willock
Murphy Miggy Fraser
Gayle
This line-up would have been better.. but Miggy's key to this 4-3-1-2 formation.. could make the world of difference tonight. Feeling a bit more optimistic we can get something from this.. saying all this though..
Brighton 2 - 0 Newcastle United
Welbeck scores on early & Maupey scores a cracker late on through a counter attack as we're chasing the game in the 88th minute to kill the game off.

Right I’ll start the “When will Miggy get injured?” sweepstake. I’m going for the 12th minute.

Almiron to go off injured after 23 minutes.
Re: Relegation special #3 BHA v NUFC
Souness and Zamora criticising Miggy's goalscoring record. 8 goals in 70 games overall but half of those have come in 21 games this season. He isn't a striker either. His end product has improved massively.

Why is Fraser playing in the middle again - surely he has to go out wide and play big bad joe in the middle
