New Kit 21/22
Have heard reports that Castore will be the kit manufacturer next season. I know they make jerseys for Rangers and I believe Wolves will also be moving to them next season too.
I'd say we'll start seeing more realistic prototypes once our PL faith is decided.
Though I think the reason to close the club shop has a lot to do with this.

I'll Hazard a guess

Yeah saw the Daily Fail reporting it and spinning it as if it meant a takeover might be involved just to get extra clicks.
PUMA are crap so whoever Castore are can only be an improvement you'd hope...

It's an English-based company, their Rangers kits were tasteful enough (and I have no affinity to them) and their logo/branding is inoffensive. Although I know they struggled to meet demand for Rangers kit, at least early on, and especially for international fans, I doubt Castore has good distribution partnerships to get merch on shelves.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 11:01 amYeah saw the Daily Fail reporting it and spinning it as if it meant a takeover might be involved just to get extra clicks.

Being Irish I obviously have no affinity towards Rangers but agree Castore have done a decent job with their kit. In terms of how they'd do Black White Stripes I'd take a look at Rangers 3rd kitRemember Colo wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 1:07 pmIt's an English-based company, their Rangers kits were tasteful enough (and I have no affinity to them) and their logo/branding is inoffensive. Seem to be an offset Stripe design which would be very similar to I think it was late 80's early 90's kit.

Wasn't Castore confirmed a while ago, around the start of the season?

It was rumoured a long time ago but nothing official.

Yeah, stories broke in October and drew attention because of Ashley's former connection to Rangers.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Wed Apr 14, 2021 6:59 pmWasn't Castore confirmed a while ago, around the start of the season?

Interesting that Castore was just announced as the kit supplier for McLaren F1 team starting in 2022. Clearly trying to be aggressive about partnering with some meaningful British sporting brands.

So I ordered a retro top from DHGate (and a Bills jersey). They sent the wrong size Newcastle top but would only give refund if I cut up the shirt first.
With all the Mike Ashley ****, Bruceball and embrace of the Saudi state sportwashing, it was quite cathartic to cut up a (knockoff) Newcastle top.

I guess it to ensure people don't just claim "defects" to get free stuff. Very fair as if they gave me straight refund I was gonna ask if any of you skinny peeps wanted it for the price of postage

Re: New Kit 21/22
Surely they could have just asked you to return it (covering the postage for you) and then they could have resold it.
Re: New Kit 21/22
It's coming from DHGate, the postage cost to them is about 10 times the value of the product...

I've only ever bought one fake top, a Dortmund one about 7-8 years ago. It was great, until you washed it

I got a Nigeria shirt when Shola got called up as I couldn't find a real one anywhere. Looks fine from a distance, close up it's obvious that Ameobi uses at least two different fonts...Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 8:12 amI've only ever bought one fake top, a Dortmund one about 7-8 years ago.
