Great win! Shame the gloss was taken off to some extent with those late goals, but still a great result and performance.

Blessing in disguise, knocks his value down if he does nothing else this season and/or can blag an injury prone discount.Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 8:33 pmThat doesn't look good for Willock. Clutching his hamstring!

Re: Match day thread - Leicester v NUFC
dont see how a minor injury affects his price at all. he'll be fit for the summer and arsenal can just point to his hot streak before thatColly wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 8:53 pmBlessing in disguise, knocks his value down if he does nothing else this season and/or can blag an injury prone discount.Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Fri May 07, 2021 8:33 pmThat doesn't look good for Willock. We do love to make things unnecessarily difficult for ourselves... but great performance, albeit a bit shaky at the end. Enormous win

Can't believe I got stuck in a late afternoon meeting about a multi-criteria analysis framework and missed that second half. Don't even care we gave away 2 goals, the real miracle is that we scored 4!

About the happiest that Brucy's looked in his 2 years with the club. Can't even dislike him for it, that's a result they can be really proud of, after a good month or two (barring Arsenal).
Re: Match day thread - Leicester v NUFC
I deliberately blanked the game tonight and expected a bad loss. Just proves I know nothing!
Re: Match day thread - Leicester v NUFC
Typical Newcastle United. We're inconsistently inconsistent !
What a game & performance. I had £50 bet on us losing.. but money well lost I guess as we've practically secured our safety. Having Wilson & ASM back has made a massive difference. Willock.. need to sign him up, really has changed our midfield balance since coming in. Adds energy, legs, youth & goals.
I don't see us going down.. we'll at least get 1 point from our last three games.. probably lose against City but we should beat Sheffield & maybe even Fulham as they'll be down & out by then. 45 points is looking achievable.

Re: Match day thread - Leicester v NUFC
Was it worth the potential returns? Presumably Leicester were quite short odds to win?
I'm the scumbag outlaw. You're the pillar of justice. Neither of us like looking at ourselves in the mirror. Do we have a deal?
Re: Match day thread - Leicester v NUFC
It was part of a 5 fold acca were I had Liverpool winning, Leeds winning, Man United winning & Arsenal winning. Returns would have been decent enough.. I think would've won £350/400 back roughly. Didn't check overall odds.. but was 7/8 to 1.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 12:44 pmWas it worth the potential returns? Presumably Leicester were quite short odds to win?
