Derby heading to League One as it stands, along with Sheffield Wednesday.

West Brom & Fat Sam down, just one place left which could be decided tonight.

Yeah it’s over despite commentators and pundits trying to make it sound like Burnley or Brighton could still go down. Yeah they technically could but not a chance in hell Fulham are staying up.

I won't be happy until we're 100% mathematically safe. Hoping for a draw tonight.

Talking about West Brom.. they have some players who are abit too good for the Championship & should stay in the Prem. The likes of Pereirera, Gallagar, Diagne & Maitland-Niles. Pereirera especially he's scored 10 goals in 31 apps. Very good return for a attacking midfielder/winger. Imagine him supported by ASM, Miggy, Wilson & co.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 9:30 amWest Brom & Fat Sam down, just one place left which could be decided tonight.
Conor Gallagher looks like a decent box-to-box midfielder.. he can pass, tackle, mobile & classy on the ball. Should look at him & maybe loan out Matty Longstaff to the Championship. Diagne could be a Carroll replacement if we're looking for a ''big'' striker. Every time I see him play he looks like a handful. Strong, tall & powerful. More mobile & quicker than Carroll too.

Burnley 2 up. I'll take that just to be done with the whole relegation saga.

Gallagher and Maitland-Niles are there on loan from Chelsea and Arsenal respectively. We've been linked to both on loan in previous windows. Gallagher said recently when asked about his future that he wants to force his way into Tuchel's midfield and wants the opportunity to try.Sanchino wrote: ↑Mon May 10, 2021 5:44 pmTalking about West Brom.. they have some players who are abit too good for the Championship & should stay in the Prem. Gallagher will have to compete with Gilmore, let alone the likes of Ziyech, Mount, Kante etc. He’s got no chance of forcing his way in to that midfield yet imo and will need another loan. I’d still take Willock any day over him tho.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 7/10 MAY 2021
This. Regardless if we get Willock or not we still need another box-to-box technical & mobile midfielder. Loan Matty out for a season in the Champs. Sell Hendrick... ?Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Tue May 11, 2021 6:41 amGallagher will have to compete with Gilmore, let alone the likes of Ziyech, Mount, Kante etc. He’s got no chance of forcing his way in to that midfield yet imo and will need another loan. Our midfield depth would be decent enough.. maybe someone like Lemina who did good this season at Fulham could be decent as he's a proper box-to-box with good technical ability, strength & athleticism.
Hayden (defensive midfield maestro... if fit has to be 1st choice)
Willock (box-to-box goal scorer.. if fit has to be alongside Hayden?)
Shelvey (depends if we're playing a three in the middle.. shouldn't always be a guaranteed starter but offers creativity & vision but lazy & inconsistent)
Gallagher / Lemina (Wouldn't need Shelvey as much.. as these two can not only pass but have a better all-round game in terms of mobility, tackling & technical ability)
S.Longstaff (box-to-box.. slowly showing signs of his old form when he first came through but his inconsistency / injuries still leave a question mark if he's good enough to be a regular starter but the potential is clearly there)
Hendrick? (solid pro who doesn't really do anything too bad or too good.. average passer, average tackler & average all-rounder but works hard & can do a job if needed but I don't think he's good enough to be a starter.. squad player at best)
Obviously getting Willock is massively important.. but getting another midfielder in wouldn't do us no harm.

Re: WEEKEND FOOTBALL - 7/10 MAY 2021
Fully agree getting Willock in is imperative, he's been very important to our upturn in form. Not unlike Kenedy (on loan) and Cisse's first half season. Chelsea may very well loan out Gallagher again, unlike Lemina he's not a relegated player, and won't come cheap. Loan may make sense. I'd take Lemina by the way. As someone said in the other thread, any situation that drops Shelvey (c) down the pecking order is fine by me.
