We're not going to sign anyone are we. Best case scenario we sign Willock on a season long loan and don't lose any of our key players. On a a positive note, we went on a right good run at the end of last season, as that might be enough. But we're f***ed if we get injuries to key players.

Ashley's one man PR department trying to move the responsibility on to the other party for when he doesn't rejoin. Wouldnt be surprised to hear from Arsenal that we never even tabled an offer in a few weeks.

I can't figure out what is going on. Bruce wants him and (I'd imagine) a loan would be more preferable to us. He doesn't appear to be in Arsenal's plans, so perhaps they're holding out for permanent offer whilst his stock is high...? It does seem strange there's been no other interest in him apart from Monaco just recently.

Japan international forward Yoshinori Muto has left Newcastle United by mutual consent.

The club and player have come to an agreement on the final year of his contract, with the 29-year-old making ten starts in all competitions following his 2018 move from Mainz 05.

He has made a further 18 appearances from the bench and has scored twice - the first on his first league start, away at Manchester United, and the other against Leicester City in the Carabao Cup.

Muto spent last season on loan with Eibar in Spain's La Liga. Everybody at Newcastle United thanks him for his efforts at St. James' Park and wishes him well for the future.
