He'd be a terrible signing for me.

He's worse than Fernandez, Clark, Lascelles and Schar. CB is a position we're fine at and don't need anymore additions. Especially if we are playing a back 3 since Krafth and Dummett enjoy that system and will slot into it fine. Hayden can also play in a back 3 if needs be as well. We also have Watts coming though who looks set to be part of the first team squad this year as well.

Also Jones would be on big wages and is extremely injury prone. Not to mention very mistake prone when he is fit enough to play.

We'd be better off using our limited budget and squad spaces on improving the areas of concern in the squad, notably CM.

I get when some fans say 'we shouldn't be developing players for other clubs', but sadly Man U, Arsenal etc. aren't rivals, they're light years ahead of us and we won't spend money so loaning promising young players is our most viable option.

Especially when in the end many of those promising young players still won't end up with a spot in those sides and could become available. It's just important you select the right ones, and show some guile when making the agreements.
