Re: EURO 2020, 2021 Edition
If Scotland had a half decent striker they’d be at least drawing this game.
Commentators talking up Nisbit coming on as a goal threat…yeah maybe against SPL opposition occasionally but not quite the same when you’re actually playing against international standard players (of which most of the SPL aren’t).

This. Scotland gave it a good go and the scoreline is a bit harsh on them, but the Czechs took their chances and the Scots didn't.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:49 pmIf Scotland had a half decent striker they’d be at least drawing this game.

Maybe a creator too. Fraser looked decent when he came on. But everything comes from RobertsonBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:49 pmIf Scotland had a half decent striker they’d be at least drawing this game.

I wonder how comparable clubs / competitors based on where we are in the table e.g. Brighton, Palace compare?

Created chances the Scots but not good enough. Will be punished even more vs Croatia and England but I expect they will sit deeper.

My wife and I were mad that the producer kept cutting to camera shots of Eriksen and the team surrounding him, and even the commentators repetedly spoke of the players circling him to provide privacy - which seemed like their way at telling the producers to provide the privacy. All this to say, it wasn't specific to BBC, the Canadian (TSN) and American (ESPN) feeds also had the same issue, and I imagine it was that way around the world. Which isn't my way of excusing the BBC, but rather to say it was a widespread issue not unique to them. I do imagine in Denmark that had additional domestically produced shots, like the long-range helicopter footage you referred to - that nobody else had availability to.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 8:29 amJust had a meeting with a colleague in Denmark and were talking about what happened with Eriksen.
On Danish TV as soon as it was clear what was unfolding they cut away to a long range helicopter shot of the stadium so you couldn't see what was going on. Yet some people still believe the BBC bollocks saying it wasn't their choice and they had to use broadcaster footage.
Personally I wanted something to continue airing so they could at least provide an update as soon as they saw him conscious or their was good news to potentially take from it, but I absolutely did not want the camera on him or his family until anything positive was confirmed.

Yeah I do think all the broadcasters were stuck between a rock and a hard place. Had the cameramen not filmed him (or his wife, f***ing hell) I don't think anyone would even be questioning it, because otherwise your only real option is just to go to the studio to try to fill without knowing anything. At least in the stadium you can't see how upset the commentator is compared to sticking cameras on Lineker and Alex Scott as they try to process it.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 4:17 pmMy wife and I were mad that the producer kept cutting to camera shots of Eriksen and the team surrounding him, and even the commentators repetedly spoke of the players circling him to provide privacy - which seemed like their way at telling the producers to provide the privacy. Sweden need to get Krafth on, he’s used to playing for a team who doesn’t have the ball.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 7:22 pm91% possession for Spain in the first 15 or so minutes, got to make it count lads!
