BT have overtaken Sky in terms of their offering and coverage, BT Sports eclipses Sky Sports now for me and if I could only pick one it’s an easy choice.

I am looking forward to seeing him back in the PL though, he’s 36 but he’s kept himself in such great condition that he could easily play at the top level until he’s 40.

Edouard looks to be heading to Palace for £15-£20m, definitely would have been interested at that price.

Teams like Palace and Brighton will be our competition this season and both trying to strengthen, even Burnley have signed a couple while we stay stagnant.

More like we have a bloke that put too much money into the club a decade ago, and now doesn't want to put any more - and some years still takes losses. But the issue is that most football club owners anymore are willing to lose money on the venture, while ours stubbornly won't.

Not sure I’d agree with that, the money is probably there (aren’t the books in pretty good shape?) but we just choose not to spend.

Ashley bought the club, found loads of debt, gave a giant loan, then stopped investing more money, occassionally claws back some of that loan, and some years the club's been in the red, some years in the black. But I think it's inaccurate to perpetuate this idea he keeps taking money out of the club when a lot of years the club still loses money. Though yes, it'd be better they maximize advertising revenue rather than make sweetheart deals with Sports Direct and his other brands.

All that to say, Ashley wants rid and stubbornly doesn't want to lose more money on the deal - both from an annual operating perspective, and the sale price he won't compromise on. It sucks and puts us at a huge competitive disadvantage because nearly all other owners are willing to lose money in the hopes of winning.

Edouard for that price is decent enough. Would have deo been better than Joelinton & Gayle as 2nd choice & would have complimented Wilson well with his physicality, pace, finishing, movement & power. Rondon looking like he's going to re-unite with Rafa at Everton.. another missed opportunity.
