Dubravka could miss start of season
Wasn’t Darlow injured at the end of last season too…could this be the chance that Woodman was hoping for?

Actual injury or just his pride after that OG?

time for woodman to shine!!
Re: Dubravka could miss start of season
Hopefully woodman will be given a shot at the start of the season, however I could see him being no.2 behind Darlow and then not getting any game time

Re: Dubravka could miss start of season
If Dubravka's injury is serious enough that he'll miss the first few months again, then I see the logic of not letting Woodman go out on loan. However, I agree with the above that he needs to be given a chance. He's impressed at Swansea last couple of years, and was very good especially last year. He can't be allowed to stall. At the absolute least he should be the starting keeper in the pre season, see how he get's on then evaluate it before the end of the window. Worse case, let Woodman go on loan and bring in someone like f***ing Scott Carson or Wayne Hennesey on a short team deal, just to cover all the bases.

Re: Dubravka could miss start of season

Re: Dubravka could miss start of season
I've no idea what they intend to do with Woodman, but I don't think there's a lot in common between the two players, aside from maybe their ages(?). One has been playing well weekly for a couple years in the Championship, the other has been loitering in our reserves or injured during that time.

karlow got the coves lol. wat a mess to start preps. wudve been ideal for wooders to hav beein given shot
Re: Dubravka could miss start of season
Darlow has lost a stone and a half because of COVID! Poor lad. But huge opportunity for Freddie Woodman...

100%, it's kind of now or never you'd think. Really hope he does well, looked very good in the Championship for a couple of seasons and on internationals at lower levels.

Re: Dubravka could miss start of season
Wasn't it Matty that reportedly turned down loans last season. He definitely needs to get himself out and playing somewhere this year, it's obvious he's not impressing Bruce and the coaches, it's not just going to change over night for him so he needs to go and prove himself consistently at another club.
