How many points did the winner get last year?

I'm not sure, I'll have to see if the FPL site has a history option.

Re: TF Fantasy Football League 21/22
I think I ended up winning it, not sure about points but I finished at 11k overall
I hope no one minds but I invited a non Newcastle fan to the league, we’re in the US and I don’t have any other friends who play. All of the other leagues I’m in have so many people that we wouldn’t be able to find each others team, so if you see a team with 3 Man City players getting bent over by Pep Roulette it’s him

11k is very good! My best overall rank was 14k about 3 season ago.

2018/19 for mine so not as far
214k last year though so not particularly amazing.

I take it entirely too seriously, it was my 3rd season and I finished 2.7 million and 80k the two years before. I had no idea what I was doing the first year - wasted my chips, constantly chased points, didn’t plan ahead, etcBodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 7:12 pm11k is very good! I played fantasy yank football for probably 15 years prior to this and FPL is such a better game, the checkers to chess analogy is spot on
As a bonus I now know things like who Norwich’s 4th best CB is

last season I had several red cards and own goals

I check out the Reddit FPL sub once or twice a day and listen to a couple of podcasts on my commute to work - I think FPL BlackBox and FPL Wire are by far the best and I’ve given most of them a listen at some pointgola wrote: ↑Tue Aug 10, 2021 7:31 aminterestin that mate do u sign upto anythin or u do research of ur own bk? fair play either way ur score is dead impressiveparatiddies wrote: ↑Mon Aug 09, 2021 8:43 pm

Black Box is good, the FPL experiment and who got the assist are also on my regular list.

Re: TF Fantasy Football League 21/22
I can't read too much into my overall ranking because playing in my wife's family's league, I try to avoid having all the same players as everyone else (who are otherwise terrible at picking up players as soon as they see them doing well for other people in the league). So it kinda shoots myself in the foot for being globally competitive, but I enjoy beating them with the extra challenge.
Re: TF Fantasy Football League 21/22
Woodman is £4.5m , was hoping he'd be a nice £4m that gets points until Dubravka / Darlow are back to try to push him back to third choice

Yeah, their pricing is weird sometimes. At the start of last season Darlow was £5m despite not having played for about 2 years

They've definitely raised the minimum price floor - I'm sure to reduce the number of people who fill out their final defender and midfielder with randoms and then stack the rest.

Re: TF Fantasy Football League 21/22
Still several 4.5m midfielders to fill your squad and a few cheap defenders that could do well.
I don’t think there’s as much need for a strong bench this season as there was last season. Always surprised they price Mané so highly, who’s going to pay 12 for him when you can get Salah for 0.5 more?
Also, ASM as a forward this year
