Dropping Lascelles and Schaer, and playing Hayden out of position instead is surprising. Shelvey as the deep midfielder is going to be fun. Him and Almiron is not a solid midfield pairing. Fear we'll lose a lot of possession in the middle.

Was ready to come on here at HT if it was 1-1 and say that I was pretty happy with how we’re playing, so I’m very happy at 2-1!

Actually playing like the players have been told there’s a plan, pressing high up the field, getting people forward to support Wilson and ASM, Shelvey getting his head up and playing some good passes. Promising start.
