Get Gilmour and McGinn signed. Two finer midfielders you’d struggle to see. Brilliant players with the right attitude.
Both been getting Geordie lessons from Carver 🤣

It is ridiculous how long players often get away with waiting to take throw-ins. But how stupid, was important game time for him.

Big game for Scotland tonight. Yes. It's against the Faroe Islands but these are the types of games that we traditionally mess up

Get the points tonight, another win against Moldova and we're in the play off for the World Cup and don't have to worry about the final game Vs Denmark

Likely nobody here but me cares about this, but a big qualifier for Canada this week too. Were only the 5th team in WC qualifer history (going back to 1934) to avoid defeat at Mexico's Stadio Azteca last week. But 4 draws (and 1 win) from 5 matches so far have them needing some wins to keep pace with USA and Mexico.

Scotland are lucky to be level at HT. Dire as Faroes are good. I know it’s plastic surface and they are 5/4 or 6/4 but they have created much more
Need a Steve Clarke wake up call to get out the standard default Scotland setting

Hate artificial pitches - though I do feel like their consistency means the more skilled side should still be able to play on them. By comparison, Canada played in Jamaica Sunday night, and their chewed up field looked more like a pumpkin patch.

Well dearie me , that was an insult to International football, how Scotland dug that out is beyond fortunate.
Take it and move on, to win when pish is the positive.

Actually, you have a point there.

Never ceases to amaze me that with the supposed abundance of “ world class “talent England have, more often than not they are always getting slaughtered and very often fall well short, just like last night. Maybe something to do with the fact that many of the players play in club teams with world class talent but when England come together as a collective the expectations are there but the delivery is likely to be short. Recipe for underwhelming results, then the press witch-hunt !

Scotland on the other hand are a wee club like side in international terms, when we do anything remotely good we party for days. Maybe one day we’ll be just like Croatia or Denmark 🤣

We don’t need a 55m+ population to be crap

Yeah, the talent is there but most England fans would admit the football for the most part is pretty underwhelming. Southgate is a pragmatic, limited manager. Excellent people person and speaks very well but I can’t recall many exciting England games under him. But he gets the job done and qualifies for tournaments with ease and gets the team to the latter stages of tournaments. Personally I don’t think they’ll ever win anything under Southgate but they’ll generally be in the mix.

Talking of Southgate ironically enough I recall Euro 96. England had a great team and were dead unlucky. Shearer Sheringham Gascgoine etc.
The Southgate pen, now here they are it’s like the circle is squared. Can he take them any further

Alphonso Davies is my hero. His pace is ridiculous.

Canada might finally qualify for a WC for the first time in my lifetime.

Obviously the defender shouldn't have underestimated one of the fastest players in world football, then should have cleared it into the 19th row. But to run that far, that fast and then effectively pull off that backheel under control astounded me in the moment.

Don't think the defender had any idea Davies was even there
