I'll be very disappointed if there isn't some Moldova v. Scotland commentary later today!

Here you go …..

You can only beat who’s in front of you……
that said McGinn and Gilmour controlled that, McGinn esp was outstanding. Adams too looked good.

Scotland should though have won that by three or four

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Anyway on to the play offs where we will draw a decent team and get pumped

🤣

That sounds like Norway <awe> Doesn't even need to be a decent team, just some kind of play off.

Thought I'd got away with football this weekend. But just about to watch us away to Bosnia. We'll lose.

McGinn and Gilmour were excellent yet again.
Clarke has a great balance in that team now
Play offs loom and the list of teams is exceptional.
Good moment tonight but qualification looks difficult.
Six semi finals and three finals , comprised of ten runners up and two Nations league participants ……..what a nonsense any three from 12

Feels like qualification hasn’t even started yet

Yeah Gilmour seems central to Scotland despite things not really working at Norwich for him.

You've got to think Portugal & Italy are going to take two of the three places.

Are the semi-finals over two legs or just a one-off game?

Both one offs….
The Seeded six at home in semi finals, then a one off final to be drawn , that could be away or home.
Bit of a farce but hay hoh however with Italy and Portugal already lurking there, it’s gonna be really tough.
It’s like undertaking qualification all over again

Proud to say Canada moved to top of CONCACAF qualifying after beating Costa Rica and Mexico this week. After decades of dealing with farcical pitches, opposing fans lighting fireworks overnight outside of hotels and throwing bags of piss, and generally getting CONCACAF'd (it's a verb), we returned the favour by having them play in Edmonton of all places (the only time that northern snowscape has been used for this round of qualifying), where we were able to pack in over 45k per match, and see 20cm of snow fall with temperatures feeling like -15C.

It's a reason why we don't play at winter in Norway. At my place we have -30 -35c usually in january. If we are unlucky this might happen in december and part of february as well. 11 years ago, 2010 new years eve, we had -46c. Everyone were running their cars all night like in Russia <laugh>

Well done. Hope you qualify. I've got 3rd cousins in Canada so I'll be supporting them if they qualify! And Scotland as well if they do it, I'm an eighth Scottish. Finland are out though :(

Yeah, I think it's the latest in the year we've held an international match, and normally they'd have played it in Toronto (where thankfully we're still in the 5-8C daytime temperatures right now) or in Vancouver that has a retractable roof. But I think the intent was always to try and gain some home field advantage by subjecting the opposing teams to real cold - even though our own players wouldn't normally play in that either. The manager put it well, that they wanted to give the opposition an excuse for losing.
