Re: New Manager
I dont know a lot about him, I know some people have pointed out he's not got a very good defensive record which does concern me a little to be honest, I mean if we had a half decent defence I'd be more comfortable but with how horrific is has been of late it does make me a little nervous.

Re: New Manager
Mick McCarthy on the brink at Cardiff too...just saying. Very experienced, apparently that's all that matters to be a manager...

Re: New Manager
Emery strongly fancied by Chris Sutton on the media earlier.
Says he’s have us challenging for the title in a few seasons and that Emery loves a project , would find us very appealing with the possible resources.
A Cockney Reject(s) for those of a certain vintage at the Toon , oh the irony.
IMO could do a lot worse.
In other news Nigel Pearson is available.

Re: New Manager
If Ashley was in charge, he'd probably be top of the list though of course if Ashley was in charge Bruce would be still in a job
I'll Hazard a guess

I'm sure Pardew would make a return...

Re: New Manager
Always has had a lot of success in La Liga, whether with Valencia, Sevilla or now Villarreal. Also one of the few managers who has left more jobs than he's been sacked from. Tuchel might fall into that category too. For all the stick he took at Arsenal, they wish they were getting a 55% winning percentage from Arteta.seaside nipper wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 11:30 amEmery strongly fancied by Chris Sutton on the media earlier.

Re: New Manager
Chris Sutton isn’t really ITK…
I thought Emery was quite badly treated at Arsenal and did okay, certainly better than Arteta. The fans hounded him out (shocking, I thought according to the media no manger had ever been hounded out before Bruce…).

Re: New Manager
Does anyone fancy a unknown tactical genius from Norway?
I know what you all think, and I don't know if any of you have seen Bodø Glimt the past two years.
But I promise you all, this guy is for real. They just beat Roma 6-1
Probably worst loss ever for Mourinho, right?!

So you're saying Fonseca may not have been the reason for Roma's goals against?Oval85 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 7:33 pmDoes anyone fancy a unknown tactical genius from Norway?

No, I'm saying I want Knutsen more than most of the candidatesRemember Colo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 7:56 pmSo you're saying Fonseca may not have been the reason for Roma's goals against?Oval85 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 7:33 pmDoes anyone fancy a unknown tactical genius from Norway?

They play lovely 4-3-3 football in the soul of Nils Arne Eggen who brought Rosenborg to stardom. Just amazing football to watch really.

They sound like an impressive outfit right now.
Re: New Manager
Yeah, and after last year they sold half of their first eleven to other countries, bought a few and also promoted backups.Remember Colo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 8:32 pmI was only kidding

It is the best run club in all of scandinavia probably, and its not only Knutsen who deserves credit.
Aasmund Bjørkan and Runar Berg are both legends from the club, and the sons of the biggest legend in Bodø football, considered one of the best to ever do it from Norway. They also have a son each in the first 11 who were the only two hot sale-projects that stayed because they wanted to play in Europe with their team. I bet 6-1 against Roma doesn't make them regret anything

Re: New Manager
Knutsen has done a great job alright as has Bjørkan and Berg.
The sons too as you say very talented, they won't be there this time next year.

Now I wake to see Wayne Rooney is joining a short list , Eddie Howe is in talks with the consortium and Uni Emery is strongly fancied albeit with a 7m euro release clause.
Edit to add ….I nearly put my car off the road yesterday when I heard Danny Murphy say best option would be Roy Hodgson.
