Steve Agnew and Stephen Clemence have left the club, not entirely sure what they ever did under Bruce...coaching wasn't really a thing.

Based on his press conference, I reckon the team will be something like this tomorrow, possibly more of a 4-4-1-1 with Big Joe dropping deeper than Wilson to link up play.

Darlow
Manquillo Lascelles Fernandez Ritchie
StMaximin Hayden Shelvey Fraser
Joelinton Wilson

He said Shelvey would be key for us with our new technical approach. Also talked up Big Joe's technical ability.

He also mentioned that he's hesitant to put players in who've been on international duty as they've missed important sessions on the new style of play and he's worried they might try and play how they previously have been.

I'm hoping Elliot Andersen gets a chance under Howe too at some point, he was away with Scotland U21's so maybe not straightaway but in time.

To be fair he's only 43, there's a couple of PL managers who'll have played with and against Shelvey.

Yeah the likes of Gerrard for sure but was still surprised to hear that Howe did, presumably when Shelvey was at Charlton and How was playing for Bournemouth in the first division or something.
