Yep, rather lose him for a game v Norwich than Wilson tho.UlversToon wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 1:16 pmRitchie does.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 1:09 pmWilson definitely getting a yellow at some point so will miss the Norwich game…
We’ve done okay, made a couple of chances. I’d probably take off Krafth for Manquillo.

Lascelles suspended next match, not necessarily a bad thing.

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
This. We haven't played too badly but Arsenal's quality shining now. Just hope Wilson doesn't get a yellow. Good chance for Lewis to step up and make a statement against his old club. Would like to see Miggy & Murphy on sooner rather than later for Ritchie/Wilson (don't want him missing the Norwich game). Manquillo on for Kraft and go to a back four.

Willock been anonymous today, as has ASM pretty much.

Re: Arsenal v Newcastle
This.. Fraser hasn't really done much either. Poor all-round second half performance. Good too see Ritchie and Lascelles suspended. Hopefully this allows Lewis & Fernandez to come back in. Jan can't come sooner. A lot of these players are hard-workers/tryers but there not up to the required Prem standard. A quality CB or two and a quality CM/DM is a MUST.. otherwise we're going down.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 1:58 pmWillock been anonymous today, as has ASM pretty much.

Really poor stuff, flat, no bounce at all.
Wondered at the start when I saw the strapping on ASM knees, tells a tale.
Very conservative approach in ambition , disappointing . Arsenal are not great as was witnessed in first half, yet we come out second half knackered looking on ambition and idea.

Always had the feel of a game where it was just a matter of time until they scored and that would be that.
I’d take Wilson off to make sure he’s available for Tuesday.

I’d have said 2/3-0 before the game wouldn’t have been unrealistic.
Arsenal (prior to last week v Liverpool) had been in fantastic form so no surprise at all.

Ramsdale has made more saves than Dubravka today. Under Bruce we’d have lost 2 or 3 nil without troubling the keeper. Hopefully that tells against lesser sides.

On reflection pretty awful really …..flat
Next two home games critical for two wins, obviously, but today was really weak imo.

I'm at the point where I'm just excited at the prospect of getting rid of some players in January/Summer. Ritchie, Lascelles the priority imo, but a lot more on borrowed time.

Who would you make captain if we sold Lacelles? I'd go with Dubravka.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 2:33 pmI'm at the point where I'm just excited at the prospect of getting rid of some players in January/Summer. Ritchie, Lascelles the priority imo, but a lot more on borrowed time.

Interesting question, wouldn't argue against Dubravka. I think we are in a position where our biggest leadership candidates are just not good enough to play PL football, so as much as I hate to say it maybe Shelvey for the short term, he looks like he's adapting really well under Howe. Then there is Wilson maybe or if you wanted to go completely left field then Saint Maximin, there is a question of his overall professionalism but the armband maybe brings something out in him.originallad wrote: ↑Sat Nov 27, 2021 2:55 pmWho would you make captain if we sold Lacelles?
