Big Joe all fired up. He was born to be a midfield destroyer.

Fantastic win that! Back to back wins as well! Great 2md half performance. Just hope Trippier isn't injured.

Big cohones tonight , great second half and we are looking upwards, no question.
Great chance now and clearly momentum has others fearful.
We grew into it , Everton s***, and looked troubled.
Cans tonight and hangover will take care of itself.
Magic !!

Huge. Trippier just different class, but quality performances all round today. Targett was really solid, Lascelles looked like a different player, ASM unplayable
I had the first custom w***

I think we will beat Villa next
Re: Match Thread: Newcastle v Everton
This. We improved so much in the second half.. ASM showed his class, Willock was everywhere, Shelvey was cool n' composed, Joelinton solid, Fraser with the important goal, Lascelles looked shaky but decent at times (still needs to be dropped for Burn), Targett looked decent if not unspectacular & finally another quality performance by Trippier who was not only excellent in both boxes (defensive / attacking) but his dead ball deliveries & what a strike!Donkey Toon wrote: ↑Tue Feb 08, 2022 9:43 pmBrilliant result and very good performance. All-round this bounds well for the future and also nice to see Bruno come on with a couple nice touches. I'll say same team for Villa except Burn in for Lascelles. Would like too see Bruno in there too but it's hard to drop any of the current midfield three.

Was Shelvey lucky to have avoid a red?

Get in what a win!!!!
Would have been even sweeter had Man U beat Burnley, but I still think they'll struggle to pick up points to overtake us, especially if we can continue to play like we have the last few games we'll pick up a few more wins.
I also think the likes of Everton and Brentford look like they're going to struggle so who knows

ASM was phenomenal tonight, I'd argue thats probably right up there as one of his best all round performances for us, his decision making was spot on, he looked for the early ball and didn't try to do too much, he seemed much more direct too. Absolute quality tonight, also happiest he's looked in a long while too.

We could’ve had 5 goals tonight. ASM was unplayable and pushing the team forward. Trippier is just world class! Lascelles also played well in the second half.
Sunday is another big game that could leave us with 10 points out of 4 with a win.
