Norwich Vs NUFC
Saturday sees Newcastle trek to Carrow Road for a 3pm kick-off. All 2,650 away places are sold.
Since a 4-3 Championship home victory in September 2016, United have failed to beat City in four attempts - this season's meeting at St. James' Park ending in a 1-1 draw.
Eddie Howe's side are bidding for their fourth away win of the season, following successes at Leeds United, Brentford and Southampton.
NUFC: Ryan Fraser remains out (and may miss the remainder of the season), while Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson are both continuing their rehabilitation.
NCFC: Ozan Kabak, Adam Idah, Lukas Rupp, Andrew Omobamidele and Joshua Sargent all miss out.
Former Magpie Tim Krul has never lost to Newcastle in a competitive game since leaving SJP, winning one and drawing the other two meetings with his City side.
Bottom of the table by one point from Watford, the Canaries have had a free week since losing 2-3 at Manchester United last Saturday.
Following a 2-0 victory over Burnley last time out in Norfolk, City are attempting to win successive top flight home games for the first time since the 2014/15 season.
Sixteen PL home games this season have resulted in ten away victories, 3 home wins and a trio of draws.
Seven of Norwich's 12 home PL goals this season have come from Teemu Pukki and the Finn has netted in each of their last three fixtures at Carrow Road.
Of their five PL victories so far this season - versus Brentford, Southampton, Everton, Watford and Burnley - only the Clarets failed to defeat Norwich in the other meeting of the two sides, drawing 0-0.
Referee: Chris Kavanagh - a third Toon posting of the campaign for the whistler from Lancashire, following the 1-0 win at Leeds and 1-1 draw at West Ham.
VAR: Simon Hooper

Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
Probably low odds given how bloody amazing we are
Norwich do sometimes put up a bit of a fight and are pretty much down already so can play without too much pressure.
I’ll go 0-2.

Scrappy 2-1 win for The Toon (Willock & Joelinton).

Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
Don’t think there’s any chance that Howe allows that to happen, especially as we have Man C and Liverpool next. Plus a lot of the players will be playing for their future and will want to be part of the project going forward.

Thought we were playing tomorrow, that's until I saw someone on twitter complaining about negativity on match days.

Interesting lineup. Joelinton up front? Longstaff and Lascelles back in the team

Lascelles to make a mistake that leads to a Norwich goal and Joelinton to miss a sitter.

Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
Looks like we are resting some players, maybe Howe wants to put everything into the Liverpool game to make a statement. Doubt it would make much difference like, but worth a try I guess
Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
Big Joe upfront? Longstaff Willock in.. Murphy in for Miggy and Lascelles in for Schar. Interesting. Looks like we want to put out our strongest eleven against Liverpool. Good to refresh and shuffle things round', there was some very tired legs towards the end of the Crystal Palace game so should be interesting too see how motivated and energetic we look today. Would've licked to have seen Manquillo in for Krafu to give him a break but he's been doing so well recently he doesn't deserved to be dropped/rested at all.. even if Trippier comes back there's no need to rush him for this season. Even though I think we should have kept Big Joe in midfield and gave Gayle a chance upfront.. in Howe we trust!
Have a feeling it'll be a dour, up and down fairly timid non exciting 1-1 draw. Big Joe with a header from a Bruno Assist and a Pukki tap in to equalise in the second half.

I'm one of the first people to say "would rather have seen Gayle play then, instead of etc" but then realise he's s***.
Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
It's very much a "we're safe" selection, but should still be alright. Missing a cutting edge and I don't like ASM or Joelinton through the middle, but Bruno should run things well.

Not gonna lie though i'm less optimistic about getting a result after seeing that line-up. But Howe has earned my trust so I have confidence that he knows what he is doing.

Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
Love Norwich as spent many years living there but by Christ I want to sort out our goal difference!
Baking today and making meringues for an Eton Mess and some cookies to use up the egg yolks.
Got myself a new 1996 away strip as well that arrived this morning so expecting a good win now.

Re: Norwich Vs NUFC
This. Could it be ASM will be upfront with Big Joe on the left??
Gayle should have started to be honest.. I mean Norwich are Championship quality (there as good as down tbh) so would have been the perfect match for him to get a chance to prove he still has it even at a lower level instead of not having a recognized out and out no.9 on the field (we all know Big Joe is and never will be a no.9).. similar to ASM who's not a false no.9 either he's not on Messi / Neymar's level to be playing in that position.
In Howe we trust though!
