Having pledged to develop a training facility on a new site, plans for a revamp of Newcastle's current first team base at Darsley Park have been submitted to North Tyneside Council.
Improvements include plunge and hydrotherapy pools, a player's lounge, extended catering facilities and additional facilities for club medical and support staff.
The club have occupied the present site since 2002 but remain committed to relocating, describing this proposed upgrade of the existing facilities as "short term". Work is expected to start immediately upon approval.

More good and speedy work by the new owners to be looking to get this approved and work started ASAP.
The current training ground is an embarrassment by PL standards so much needed and part of the revamp of the entire club infrastructure
