Re: Football Titbits
They can bring fans up there with HS2...oh wait.
Re: Football Titbits
Sounds like Anderson & Willock could both be back in contention within a week
With Murphy fit, Barnes back - Wilson fit ( and hopefully Isak & Gordon not too far off) - this could be the strongest we've been since start of the season.
Maybe perfect timing for a cup run to Wembley?

Ffs. Yeah he has to move on in summer - far too unreliable and seemingly even more so now he’s into his 30s. He’s been priceless to us when fit, but missing far too often.seaside nipper wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 4:35 pmWilson … 12 weeks out

Looked tame enough at the time after a tussle late on chasing a ball at the goal line. Left holding his chest a bit, now this, it’s unbelievable.
Love the guy but my god, what an injury list.

Re: Football Titbits
This. He has 1 year left.. even if we end up getting 5-12 mil for him I'll take that. Past his best, too injury prone and unreliable. His goals to games ratio and when he's fit he is a quality striker (1 in 2) but just not worth it unless we just decide to have him as a 3rd choice striker (Europe/Cup games) behind Isak and a new striker but he will want to play regularly especially in his last couple years at the top level. I say send him back to Bournmouth or Brentford n' we give them a fee + him for Toney/Solanke.. even Adebayo from Luton could be a cheaper more reliable option (9 goals in 23 games) looks strong, powerful and at 26 still anit hit his prime.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 4:41 pmFfs. Re: Football Titbits
Yeah, a swap deal / part exchange would be perfect but you don’t see them happen too often so shows it’s a difficult deal to do as so many different factors and people to keep happy.Sanchino wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 6:37 pmThis. I mean if Chelsea wanted to offer us £20m that would be perfect

I'll take 10 mil + Broja to us.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 6:39 pmYeah, a swap deal / part exchange would be perfect but you don’t see them happen too often so shows it’s a difficult deal to do as so many different factors and people to keep happy.Sanchino wrote: ↑Thu Feb 15, 2024 6:37 pm

Hopefully Broja does OK but not spectacular at Fulham while his on loan so his value don't rocket up. Or that David Forfana guy from Burnley looks class already scored a couple at Burnley?

Re: Football Titbits
Reinforces why I think we need to maintain some momentum to finish out the season. We haven't reached the point yet where top player or staff talent will pick us irrespective of standings like Man U, Chelsea, etc. can get away with. We're a great project sure, but being owned by PIF means less when they're abiding by FFP, and it doesn't mean enough yet to overcome longstanding aspirations to work or play with the clubs that have consistently hung around the top of the sport the past decade(s).

Did chuckle to myself as I first read about Wilson's pectoral muscle in the titbit thread.

Porro, Udogie and Zinchenko all injured, Gomez a massive rotation risk, and Howe refuses to start Tino - my FPL backline is in disarray this weekend
Howe actually starting Tino v Bournemouth would do me a HUGE favour.

Tbh even with a 10 point deduction I think they’d scrape survival due to how abysmal the bottom of the league is.UlversToon wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 5:47 pmVery disappointing news but there's still a chance they may be taken away again.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Mon Feb 26, 2024 5:43 pmEverton's point deduction reduced to 6 points on appeal:

Anyway, if you only get a 6 point deduction why not just sign a load of extra players and take the hit as ultimately it’ll gain you more than 6 points over the course of the season…
