Re: Football Titbits
Was pretty ballsy making the Adidas deal a cornerstone of the documentary series, however I think a lot of the big clubs tend to announce new kit partners well in advance too, so its part and parcel of the business and isn't unique to us.

So Villa are going to Adidas next season too (currently Castore).
Adidas is partly owned by the Aston Villa owner. Is that deal subject to the same checks we have to go through when signing sponsorship deals with Saudi companies to ensure it's fair market value?

Re: Football Titbits
I think in the era of FFP all sponsorship deals are scrutinized. And admittedly, kit deals are a lot easier to compare against one another than other sponsorships, which are harder to define the value of.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Wed Jan 24, 2024 1:19 pmSo Villa are going to Adidas next season too (currently Castore).

On a side note, nice to see Tonali on the clubs social media post throwing some darts with Murphy, Bruno etc.
Hopefully despite being unavailable he’s still getting to know people and integrate in the squad. Would have been a total disaster if he’d been banned from training like Toney was.

Club shop
Everything in there is now less than half price - clear out before next season.
