TalkSport (yeah I know) claiming we have come to an agreement over the fee for João Pedro.

Trying to work out how much we've spent since the buy out. How many zeros are there in a Brazilian?

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours/Wishlist 22/23
I think Pedro will be confirmed today or tomorrow (according to Sky and the gaffer the deal isn't done yet) I would see also either Paqueta or Maddison ...the budget of ekitike is spent on Pedro, and there is remaining money for either of Maddison or Paqueta ( I'm expecting something I hope during this week), for the deadline day i think we will go on loan market (Pulisic or CHO ?)

according to Craig Hope Everton is matching our offer for Joao Pedro...

You'd think so, if you were future gazing you'd think that in a few seasons time we'll be miles ahead of Everton. Lets face it, everyone knows Lampard will be getting the boot at some point this season.Colback's Orange Tufts wrote: ↑Tue Aug 23, 2022 10:56 amWe look a better bet than Everton surely. Fee agreed for Joao Pedro, we just have to agree how we actually pay it plus bonuses

With Isak coming in this doesn't bother me too much, if anything I'm kinda happy that Watford are potentially losing out on money and probably pissing off the player in the process. A player is for sale or he isn't. This one feels like another Sevilla situation where they moved the goalposts constantly with Diego Carlos hoping we would throw down silly money.

So I'm a little out of the loop here ( living g in Italy)
I presume with £60m spent on Isak - & potentially another £25m on Pedro (?) .... then we may be planning an outgoing or 2 to keep onside of FFP ?

It will all depend on how the deals are structured and how much is paid up front I guess, also we could probably push FFP to the limit and then just make up for it next year with sponsorship deals. Like I've said a few times lately I don't really think a budget exists for us, even with FFP.

I’d still like to get him as I think the right side is a weakness. Miggy for all he tries will more often than not fail to add end product, Fraser is good at times but not a long term option and Murphy is a squad player (again, with Miggy levels of end product). Joao Pedro is young and seems to have heaps of potential so if he’s coached well (which he will be) then could turn into a very good player.

This. He can cover all the three attacking position upfront too.. and the potential is huge. We definitely still need a RW to compete with Miggy and a CM/CAM to pull the creative strings/chip in with goal scoring (Gallagher / Barkley sort of player).Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Fri Aug 26, 2022 6:50 amI’d still like to get him as I think the right side is a weakness.
