I agree not on that level, and maybe it's more of a not on that level yet. But he's seemingly more suitable to the system than ASM, and he does have a proven record of scoring and creating more goals than any of our other options.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 7:58 pmI just don't see him as someone who's on the same level as a Bruno, Botman, Isak. Suppose that's the idea of bringing Barnes in

I'd say we're lacking that at left backDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Sat Aug 05, 2023 3:17 pmNot worried about strikers, but I still think our wide forward/wingers need strengthening. I know it's easier said than done but we need someone consistent who can provide and score goals regular. It's the last outfield position where we dont have an elite option imo, Miggy and Gordon are all fart no s*** half the time when it comes to an end product.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Have heard we've enquired about Cole Palmer on loan.
Similar for Sergio Gomez
Of course if we do actually go it will have to be one or the other as you can't loan more than one player from another pl team

Cole Palmer looks class but would he fit in our system? We already have enough CM's. Would prefer Sergio Gomez who can play LB and in midfield. More versatile.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Tue Aug 08, 2023 10:48 pmHave heard we've enquired about Cole Palmer on loan.

Palmer I believe is versatile too playing a few positions.
Nothing is concrete on these more just initial enquiries

Merih Demiral
Though he prefers a move to Inter or to possibly stay in Italy he may be tempted West Ham were supposedly interested but they've now moved for Maguire, we did scout him last season so he might be one to keep an eye on.

Is this the athletic and mobile CB to partner Botman in the long-term?lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Wed Aug 09, 2023 9:28 amMerih Demiral

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Just going to throw the question in here
Callum Wilson been linked with Spurs after they sold Kane, how much would be too much to turn down?
I'd say if we could get between anywhere between 50-60m it be very interesting decision we'd have to make

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Last year of his contract, 31 years old, with Isak and possibly even Gordon ready to pick up going forwards...I'd like him to stay, but I think the club would be daft to turn down anything over £45m given the circumstances.
He'd be tough to replace before January mind...

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
We'd be absolutely knackered, Isak playing pretty much every game (unless we risk Gordon or Big Joe in the League Cup) and if he gets an injury we'd pretty much kill our season.

I'd happily sell him at the start of July with plenty of time to use the money to find a replacement but not a chance this late on.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Probably worth about £30m realistically, but if Spurs came in I wouldn't accept anything less than 40-50m, milk as much of that Kane money out of them as possible, plus it's spurs so we need to tax them regardless.

Well have 60+ games in all competitions and we need Isak , Wilson, Anderson , and the kids coming through ready to play up top.
It's a squad game now - Wilson knows he could be first choice in a couple of weeks

That's a given that it's immediately reinvested, but if we could get such a fee that would be more than enough to cover FFP for another 2 big signings and potentially including the replacement too.Bodacious Benny wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 11:01 pmUnless we have someone to come in very quickly absolutely f***ing not.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
And if we were to sell him for a premium, you can be sure we'd be charged a ransom for his replacement. Forwards are hard enough to buy as it is, with every club seemingly short on goals. I already feel we're short in the position if either he or Isak get injured. Besides, I think it a lot more like Spurs go after like Jonathan David (rumours swirling since the Kane sale) - who admittedly would be my first choice if or when we seek another forward.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
All in all I’d 100% keep him as we will need him and he’s shown he can get 15+ goals.
We could sign someone new but no guarantee they’d settle straight in and return what Wilson can.
And on a sentimental level it’ll be great to see him get a crack at the CL.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
would be gutted if we sold him.
think he's on a par with Isak too; better out and out striker but Isak has more to his all round game.
And having two top strikers will give us a massive advantage over the course of the season, outside of Man City, does anyone else have two strikers of that quality?
Hopefully rotating the pair will make it less likely Wilson gets injured as well.
