Hasn't his agent been quoted as saying that he's happy and settled there? Potentially could be to drive up his wage demands but still not looking good on a deal any time soon going off the reports today.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 5:22 pmNah he's said pretty much the opposite clubs just need to agree a fee, he's not going to come out and say he wants to move, lad has a few other clients are in discussions to move to Milan so he ain't going to go all out saying yeah he wants to moveDon Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 4:29 pmThiaw agent playing down talks of a move here.

Yep but again he's not going to come out and say he's unhappy wants to leave when he's working with AC Milan trying to negotiate with them.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:24 pmHasn't his agent been quoted as saying that he's happy and settled there? There's supposedly a difference 30-40m between the clubs.
We'll come to a agreement somewhere in the middle of that you'd think.
I'll Hazard a guess

He doesn't have to say he's unhappy, he doesn't really have to say much at all, the comments probably strengthen Milans position more than anything though. Feels like the potential for an Ekitike situation where we really commit to someone who's not really sold on the idea.lassassinblanc wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:43 pmYep but again he's not going to come out and say he's unhappy wants to leave when he's working with AC Milan trying to negotiate with them.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Mon Jul 29, 2024 6:24 pm

Been linked for a while, think he came on against us in the cup when we played Blackburn. Hopefully some of these academy lads really kick on in the next few years.

Yeah, our conversion record of signing young prospects to actually see them 'make it' over recent history has been pretty piss poor, so would be good to see if the likes of Alfie Harrison can be nurtured.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 12:01 pmBeen linked for a while, think he came on against us in the cup when we played Blackburn. Might be harsh, but I don't think many have any hope for Kuol.

Kuol has been handled very poorly in my opinion. Think he needed to stay here the first season and be evaluated at the club to discover his best progression path, kinda felt he was shipped out on loan to whoever came knocking first. He was in a fantastic position when he arrived, highly rated and played in the WC, now it feels he's a million miles from that now.bodacious benny wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 12:12 pmYeah, our conversion record of signing young prospects to actually see them 'make it' over recent history has been pretty piss poor, so would be good to see if the likes of Alfie Harrison can be nurtured.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 12:01 pmBeen linked for a while, think he came on against us in the cup when we played Blackburn. It's not much to go off but some of the academy lads did well at the weekend, Sanusi looked promising, as did Munda. Harrison got some minutes too. There's no doubt we have some potential in the academy.

I can see the logic of when we loaned him to Hearts tbh as they had several Australians in their squad - but from memory the manager was fired so that might have thrown a spanner in the works.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Tue Jul 30, 2024 1:15 pmKuol has been handled very poorly in my opinion. Last seasons loan did feel like a “send him anywhere” move.

From bbc gossip:
Liverpool and England defender Joe Gomez, 27, remains open to leaving this summer after a move to Newcastle fell through last month.

Did we try to sign him? I actually wouldn't mind. He's got pace and prefers to play at CB but can more than do a job at right back or left back.

Apparently he was mooted as part of a deal for Gordon. Decent player, English, younger than the rest of our centre backs. If he's on the market I'd like to think we'd look at him. Probably one of the few outfield players to get less game time at the euros than Gordon haha.
BBC gossip also mention Nketiah to Marsielle for 17m. Probably be more expensive to another prem side, but for that kind of figure, be a decent back up to Isak?

I'm sure I saw something that they were after £40m for Nketiah, which I'd say is laughable but we just got £35m for a midfielder who'd only played for about half a seasonValentino's fast feet wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:46 ambodacious benny wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 9:35 amFrom bbc gossip:

If it’s for third choice development striker fine, if Wilson goes and he’s backup to Isak not even close to ready to step up.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Who else can we realistically sign as a striker, who lets face it will be second fiddle to Isak this season.
Osula will be 3rd choice, all indications this pre season is that we want to keep Wilson, the lad has two fantastic strikers to progress himself under, he needs to be given a chance.

100%, so long as he is third choice - that’s the crucial part for me.Don Sholeone wrote: ↑Thu Aug 01, 2024 5:26 pmWho else can we realistically sign as a striker, who lets face it will be second fiddle to Isak this season.

Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Well I'd maybe have the excuse to buy the Danish national team jersey I was eyeing while visiting Copenhagen during the Euros. Otherwise I still wish we'd shop more outside the PL.
Re: Transfer Rumours/Wishlist
Disappointed that we haven't signed someone high profile yet given that we've lost Trips & Anderson. Hopefully this will change b4 ko.
Will be good to see Tonali back- and its good to see Miley back in the running in far east.
Also I like our new approach of bringing in plenty of talented youngsters - Hopefully 1 or 2 of them reach 1st team heights .....
"Finneran joins Newcastle’s academy as the latest youth addition following the likes of Miodrag Pivas, Aaron Epia and CJ Afumuzor this summer."

Started negotiations over Guehi apparently. I would have thought he'd be too expensive /he'd want a top four club
