NUFC: News on the fitness of Joelinton is awaited, but Joe Willock's season looks to be over with a hamstring pull.
It's unlikely that Sean Longstaff, Jacob Murphy, Jamaal Lascelles or Matt Ritchie will make the squad.
LCFC: Caglar Soyuncu, James Justin, Ryan Bertrand and Jannik Vestergaard miss out but Kelechi Iheanacho and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall may be available.
Referee: Andre Marriner - a swift return for the West Midlands official after he handled our recent 4-1 win at Everton. Marriner's only other Magpie appointment this season was the 1-2 loss at Liverpool in August.
Less positively, one has to go back to March 2018 and a 3-0 victory over Southampton to find Marriner's most recent visit to SJP when the away team lost. Since then he's overseen no less than five home defeats.

I will perform the sexual act of choice on anyone who can get me a ticket for tonight!
I'll need confirmation by around 2pm at the latest though as I need to drive up from the Midlands. The sex act can take place at a time & location of your choice post-match.

Here we go ……
Can’t concentrate , trying to suppress my inner anxieties about tonight. Whatiffery whataboutery rattling around my dome.
Are the planets actually aligning for us for the first time in what seems like forever ???
We are a right good team. We will be focused and play the opposing team tonight and not the occasion
After all the tense pacing the floor tonight , leaving the room, re entering, ducking out to the man cave for a calming drink …….rinse and repeat
The euphoria of a 2-0 win . ASM scores to seal the deal. I cry and my wife says offs grow up
A perfect evening awaits

One half fit midfielder to play isn't great. Wonder what Howe's solution will be? Gordon Bruno Anderson, or a 2 man mid with Isak playing off Wilson possibly?
Re: Matchday thread - Toon v Leicester City
I reckon we'll see Joelinton, he has a nice sit down most games so I wouldn't read too much into it.

I think Joelinton will be fine tbh.
It's almost the ideal home fixture, Leicester are so disorganised. I'd be slightly more nervous if we needed a win, but Liverpool's draw on Saturday kind of removed any uncertainty for me.

I'm nervous. If only Villa could have held on. Have a feeling Leicester will either play out of their skin and beat us or do a smash and grab on us.

I passed my driving test on the same day in 2002 that we played Barcelona in the Nou Camp in the CL!

I reckon the first team to score 3 goals in the first half will win it.
