Footnote comment to the game:
Whatever your thoughts on gambling transgressions, well, that was a heartfelt reception and support that Tonali received today from the crowd

Excellent result; usually matches after the international break can be a bit dull and disjointed.

Hats off to Gordon, I’d say the majority of our fans weren’t impressed when we signed him but he’s probably our player of the season and vital to how we play.

Gordon was "poor" today and still got a goal and should have had another. I thought we could spend 40mil somewhere else but fair play to the lad

Aye it was great to see.

Good solid win - bring on Dortmund!

All the stars seem to be aligning for Eddie Howe & Co.

Virtually everyone of our main squad players seems to be on fire with Murphy the latest to put on the burners.

Joelinton back to full fitness- Botman & Willock set to return . Gordon the revelation of the season.

Tonali the only slight dark cloud - though his issue and the crowds reaction to him may convince him that this is a good place to be for a few years .

The new signings Livreamento & Hall , plus the local kids waiting in the wings

I had doubts earlier this season- but now I'm starting to believe

Anything is possible

Delighted for Murphy tbf, I’ve banged his drum for years and said he’s a decent player!

For all we rightfully joked about Rafa playing conservatively to manage our goal differential, we now top the table at +15!
